When it comes to world records, nobody does it better than the folks over at Guinness (Not the beer, you beer-heads). Heck, who I’m I kidding… these guys ARE the world record people.

Anyways, I’ve always been a long-time fan since the 80's of these books. Always wondering about which buildings are the tallest, which people have lived the longest. Finally, there finally comes a Guinness book for us. An answer to all our questions, like who is the youngest professionally signed gamer, or which consoles has been the best sellers of all time. It has it all.

The Guinness Book of World Records: Gamers Edition 2008 is an excellent “coffee table” read for us gamers that like to brag about our consoles or whatever gaming related. The sheer numbers in this book will sometimes leave you breathless.

Some extra help from Twin Galaxies seems to have played a part in the creation of the book. You know the folks that stared in the King Of Kong: Fistful of Quarters.

Overall, I can’t really go wildly bananas about this book, it’s a 256 page book with facts. It holds a very comprehensive list of gaming knowledge. Do I recommend this book? Hell ya! If you’re a serious, or just a casual gamer. Pick up this book, it's really cool.
