I was just wondering, if I were to trade one of my games in to lets say EB, how much store credit do you think I would get? Maybe one of you have done it before and know?

eb most of the time gives you about $20 for store credit.then they sell the game for 45 bucks so does it really pay to buy a used game for 45 bucks or drop 5 more and get a brand new one?but some times you get lucky and find something for 30. i found oddworld and i love it for 30 bucks cant go wrong.

$20? Seems kinda low. I am thinking of doing it for sports games. For example, I am planning on trading in NFL Fever to get money or credit to go towards a 2003 football game. First off, I dont need 2 football games. Second, the new ones will be online!

well stores want to make a 100% profit so they buy the game for 20 bucks . it really sucks when you pay 50 but thats how it goes

I bought Simpson's Road Rage when it came out, and went to sell it back 4 days later. They were going to give me $14 for it. The game wasn't even out a week. Needless to say I didn't take it back there. Instead got full credit + $3 doing the sneaky way.

Taking games back to the store to trade them in is a rip off. You are better off selling them at half.com for $30-35. Or go to the trading area in these forums and trade a game straight up.

Hmmm, yeah, I might just do it on half.com. I'll check some stores first though, and see what they give.

If you want to get the most money you are better off selling it on ebay or half.com. At EB it depends on the game for some they might give you 25, the others maybe lower. They won't give you more than 30 for fever.

It all depends on how many they have of the game you're trading in, and it also depends on how popular the game is. When I traded in Halo at Funcoland, I got $23, all the other ones I traded in got $20. DOA3 is STILL getting $25 for a trade in and I've never seen it in the used rack.

However, when my boy wanted to get rid of his Gamecube, he got $36 for Pikmin and $30 for Luigi's Mansion. That tells me that it's pretty much a supply/demand thing. I'm just glad to be able to trade in games and get some of my investment back :)

Always ask them what the items are worth individually before accepting their offer. Sometimes items are worthless (to them), meaning they'll take it off your hands but not give you a dime for it. This can slip under the radar if you trade in a bunch of stuff at once.
