Is there really such a thing anymore?

Well, I'd guess 128, but I'm not sure.

i rembember when i used to compare bits for each system(nes, snes, genisis, n64, etc.)...now its all about the polys, the vertex shaders, the pixel shaders, and the other good stuff that make up the xbox...man has time flown by :(

The Xbox is a 32 bit system. However, the number of bits a system has does not at all have anything to do with how good it is. N64 was a 64 bit system, however, it only helps the system in marketing. People seem to think the more bits the better. A CPU with 64 bit registers on a game machine right now, for the most part, is overkill. I doubt the N64 really needed anywhere near that size registers.

Technically the Xbox would be considered a 256bit system by old terms. PC graphics have been 256bits since the first Geforce (official name was GeForce 256).

Color it is 32bit. Just like PC's. But that is a whole different 'bit'.
