short answer: yes

Why? Your computer doesn't care how its getting its connection to the internet, be it through a USB port or a NIC you'll be able to share an internet connection with the xbox.

And thats how easy it is...makes me sad that there are 1,000,000+ copies of halo out there but still less than 500 people playing online at a time...

An even shorter answer...no. I tried and tried to get this same set-up to work... never did. I have HEARD that some people have got it running but never from the person who is running it that way... only, "I know a guy who runs it like that" or "It should work, no reason why not". On the boards i found while researching this, it seems to be a common problem, often called "USB disease".

Anyhoo, I bought a hub and run the xbconnect and everything is great now.

Good luck

I heard that people that use AOL through the USB set up have problems. I'm not sure how reliable that is, but, that's what I have heard from a friend of mine that tried it.
