Whoo! Can't wait! :)

Electronic Arts has announced that the Xbox version of Battlefield 1942 will be released this fall for the Xbox. In this World War II-themed first-person action game, players will be able to engage in combat at 16 battle sites from World War II--such as Omaha Beach, Stalingrad, and Wake Island--stretching over the four major theaters of war. Players will also be able to control up to 35 authentic Axis and Allied vehicles and select from five different character classes.

While multiplayer will be the focus of the PC version of Battlefield 1942, EA has yet to release any concrete information regarding the multiplayer modes in the Xbox version of the game. EA is expected to reveal information regarding the Xbox version's multiplayer features at the upcoming E3.

Believe it or not, Battlefield 1942 is the reason I bought an XBox! I found about when I was looking for some PC games (It is going to the PC also). I got so pumped, I read about other XBox games, i.e. Halo! And then I decided to ask Santa for the black and green gaming machine!! I can not wait for Battlefield: 1942!!!

Had I known about BF:1942 when I was agonizing my nex-gen console choice, it wouldn't have even been a contest.

I hope it lives up to the hype I've built up in my mind. I don't think I've been this excited for a purchase since I saved up my $$ for the NES.

I wish there was an official release date so that I could start counting the days.
