im not sure about DSL, but for cable, all u have to do is change the cable that goes into ur cpu, and put it in the xbox,

but since i have a router, i can just add a cable from the router

What's a router and how much does it cost? My cpu is in the bedroom, but the tv is in the den. Don't ask me why, but we can't use the cable hooked to the tv for the cpu. We have a line in the bedroom for that. Any suggestions on how to hook that xbox up for online play with the cable modem?

call ur local computer store and ask em how much a router would cost and they'll give u an estimate and b4 they come they give u cable line to hook up like it has to go from 1 comp to another room then back
my dad had to go in the attic to network the rooms

no much cuz the cable people gave us a box with 1000 feet of cable in it so its not like they're gonna measure it after u use it
