With some mods you can do it. This will blow people minds in the dark. Whooo!! :)

Here are some pics of my illuminated buttons mod for my controller. I used 2 different methods to do this, for the white,blue and orange buttons i simply drilled a hole in the side of the black plastic that the buttion rests in, then using a file i made the LED lens flat so that it would sit up clise to the clear plastic of the button.
I tryed doing the same thing for the red and green buttons but they dont have as much clear plastic near the top as the others and almost no light was shining through, so i hollowed out the buttons using a drill bit the same side as the inside diameter of the buttons, then i used a smaller drill bit to smooth out the inside bit where the letter is (a dremel would have worked WAY better). Then i simly gluegunned the led inside the button and ran the wires out the hole i had previously drilled, then i filled the rest of the button up with gule to the point where the white plastic used to end.
Also: The leds that i used were all very differnet from each other, the Blue and the white ones are both 3000mcd (accordign to the package) the red one is from ones of thoues little rubber led flashlights that you can get for free i estimate that it is about 1000mcd, the green ones is the power led out of a playstation, its probably about 100-300mcd, and the orange on i have no idea where i got it but its very weak compaired to the others i would guess that its probably under 30mcd in brightness but the button acually glows fairly well (looks less bright in the picture).
