Now i know it's probably been asked over and over again, but i was wondering if it is in fact possible to make a soundtrack on the xbox hardrive using MP3 formatted songs. It would just make things easier, u know putting your favourite songs onto your favourite games! Thanks.

If you have a CD burner simply copy the Mp3's onto a CDRW NOT a CDR and then you'll be able to put all ur tracks onto ur xbox

Aussie_18's response is true, but may lead you to error. You cannot have mp3s burnt directly onto the xbox. What you do is using a CDRW (not CDR) you make audio discs and burn them (as opposed to a data disc with mp3's on it).

Cheers,
Dre

When I burnt a Imation CDRW with Easy CD Creater 5, It didn't work, I got the "Please insert a valid Xbox, Audio, or DVD..."

I heard that The program has to write a copywrite onto the CDRW, and only certain programs do that. But that's just what I heard.

What Dre was saying is that you can't copy MP3's to the Xbox in their normal state. You must convert them to a regular Audio CD, hence only 74 or 80minutes on the cd. Not albums of mp3s. Yes it is a pain but something we have to live with.

Just make sure there is a 2 second gap between songs.

Romo28,

No copywrite is needed.

That is what I use, I find it suits all my needs perfectly and works without a hinch.
