when i was readign the oxm june issue, the creator of the game said that for sure, it will take good player 30-40 hours to complete the game without stoping to look around like exploring."

it sounds like a 60 hour game for my type of game style. man i cant wait to get that game. but the bad news is that it wont be online and the good news is that they have multiplayer, like CTP Slayer and some other multiplayer games like the ones in halo, they didnt list them all. This game is gonna be better than i thought. it will for sure be the next "HALO", but i dont beleive that it will top it. we'll jsut have to wait and see.:D

I think its gonna be a real good game because its like halo, but you get a handful of guys to be instead of just master chief...you will prolly have some kind of objectives to do, and I hope you get pretty good control of what your team mates...I hope they dont just split off and go do something dumb while you just kill people...If you get to say like, tell them what to do, or tell them you need them to snipe someone or whatever that would be just an amazing game...

i dont think they do anything at all i just think that you can choose which character to be... but if you are right that would be cool:cool:

This game sounds really cool. I'm happy that it is going to be long (unlike Project Ego.) I'm just a bit confused on the online issue. I know it won't be an Xbox Live game, but can u play it via system link.

I didn't read much about it, but it sounds awesome, now i'm gonna read about it in the new xbox mag :)

This game was to hit the stores in Feb. But delay after delay the date was pushed back to Fall. By the sounds of it all the delays seem to be a good thing with the time of the game in mind, long is better. I don't have my june issue yet can not wait!

It won't be online? That's great news... suddenly I'm interested in the game! :D

Seems like when developers focus too much of their efforts on the online part of a game, the single player game suffers.

The magazine said no multiplayer, that means no system link or more than one player. And that's fine by me

It is a sweet article. Everyone should check it out. The only bad part is I couldn't find a release date in the whole thing. I checked a couple of times but nothing.

What? No multiplayer? Are you sure? I'd love multiplayer and system link even if its not going to be an online game ala Halo. That adds a lot of fun IMO...I still play Halo about everyday against others via systemlink.

30-40 hours of gameplay for a FPS without multiplayer? what... did they get a blind man with a guide dog play this game? :P

this game might be like... 2 hours longer than Halo, but no where close to 30 hours.

Yeah, I can't find any information on the Multi-player function at all either. For some reason, I recall reading that it did and that it was System Link capable. Hmmmm

One thing I do know about the game is that it is an action squad based shooter than will have some RPG elements in it. Those elements include that the characters will be able to increase their skill as the gamer goes through the game successfully.

I also know that there are only four worlds. While this may not sound all that impressive, these worlds are quite varied and enormous in size!!! So, I understand that this is hardly a downfall.

Also, I do know that this is a squad based shooter that can be played with 1-4 players through the "campaign" mode (the regular mode, though, it may not be called campaign.). Basicially, it can be single player with the ability to switch to any one of the players at any given time or yo can play 2-4 player co-operative. This is sweet!!! You will be able to strategize and communicate, somehow, with the other characters which sounds amazing! Gamespot has some good info about this game, however, again, it didn't mention multi-player, though, it did say "in the single player mode" (somewhat eluding to the possibility that there is "another" mode that could be multi-player). I'll keep looking for more since this game is one of those that is highly anticipated by myself! :)

They said co-op capable but no system link is supported. You can have friends join and leave anytime during the game to work cooperatively with you in your missions. Unfortunately, you will have to use 1 TV screen for all your buddies.

Bummer, dude...Well, I'll probably still end up getting it. It's too bad that they didn't add System Link to this amazing game. Personally, I believe that Brute Force won't do as well because of this. It's really a shame. :(

to clear up some few things in this thread.. Yes there will be multiplayer for sure, and the release date could be at the end of the summer, or the begining of the fall, ( no it didnt say in the oxm). You can communicate with ur team by pressing some bottuns that will command them. say, if u r brutus and u see an enemy up ahead brutus will aleart u first before u see it. then u can switch to Hawk, the sniper girl and shoot the enemies out if u can get a clear shot. You can swithc to all 4 different players by using the back button. if a player is killed, u will ahve to go to some shop that will clone them, (it is jsut like the movei 6th day)but u will also have to pay, and have to pay for those weapons and ammos. aint cheap. I beleive that u can play in co-op, not too sure, but will read the article again.

hope that helps.

I swear I read somewhere that this game will have 4 player coop, I wish I knew where I read it but I thought it was a reliable source. That would kick major booty and would definitely make up for it not being online.

its stated in the latest OXM magazine. You can have 4 buds playing with you at one time, but it is not system link compatible. As i stated above, you can have your friend OR friends join in a currently active game just by plugging in a controller or probably by pushing start on it if its already plugged in. Your friend or friends can also leave whenever they want, even in mid game without having to stop and restart the game. Hope that helps.

Flint

Our girl flint seems to be the last of her kind. Her kind happens to be a group of obsolete cyborg warriors. Apparently she's good enough with the sniping skills to still be an effective member of the team. In fact accuracy is her whole game. Quick to lock-on and doesn't miss when she does. Of course the sniper rifle and other ranged weapons are her tools of choice.

Hawk

Stealth is a style that Hawk wears well. She's fast and quiet perfect for sneaking up on unsuspecting enemies for that quick slice to the neck. She's the one turning invisible like the Predator in the game trailer. She can't carry the biggest, most destructive weapons, but her variety of stun pistols and rapid fire arms fit her style perfectly.

Brutus

This big lovable lug is the ferocious, yet loyal beast/warrior. No doubt cut from the same mold as Chewbacca, The Thing and Russell Crowe, Brutus doesn't like high technology and is easily spooked. When it comes to clobberin' however Brutus takes the cake. The variety of cannons and big guns that he carries and his balance of speed ,strength and stealth would make him a good character for beginners.

Tex

He's the prototype loner/hero who disdains authority but has no problem uncorking an ass whooping when one is needed. He's got the heaviest armor and greatest strength but of course he isn't the fast dog on the track. He's known to use two weapons at once like his minigun and rocket launcher. Like Han Solo he prefers a head-on fight to any kind of sneaking around.

That's a cool shot. Lovin the particle effects.
Brute Force is my most highly anticipated title. There's going to be some 4-player coop madness around here when it hits the shelves.

This game is gonna be great, but its a pity that the developers didnt include system link play. If you ask me these developers need to start using the features that make the XBOX unique, it should be the rule and not the exception.

Untill next time...

That's horrible! I was hoping for online play. And no system link either I hear. Oh well this should still be a good game.

Fillit easily kicks pacman's arse. But as far as Brute Force goes, I'm going to have to rent before I buy. No online or LAN play is a real drag, especially since this game's coming straight from Microsoft. But, if the gameplay is actually good enough, then I'm good to go.

Can you use bots? That was a huge oversight on Bungie's behalf, and Brute Force will need it since there's no way whatsoever to play online (like you could with Halo even). So if there's bots, then a purchase is fairly likely. No bots pretty much equals no purchase.
