Why is everyone so hyped up about it? I'm missing something, I read through the product profile but I still can't see why this is a must have. Can someone please tell me why I just "haaaaave" to get it? ty :D

Hey, I'm not saying it looks like ****, I just don't understand why people are getting hyped up about it. Where can I get some more info on this game? I'm not looking for people who agree with me, cmon. Anyone?

You don't haaaaave to have any game. If it doesn't look appealing to you, then don't buy it. There are some super hyped games coming out that I'm prolly not going to get. To be honext, Brute Force doesn't really float my boat, but from what I see on the forums, a lot of people are *really* anticipating this game. I may rent it just to check it out. who knows, i may like it. i may not.

I actually think that it looks pretty good. From what I read in OXM, no two characters will be the same, meaning that they change throughout gameplay.
Here's an article if you want some more info on the game.

God, I already said: I don't want answers like that, all I want to know is why do you think this game will rock? I don't want any people to agree with me or tell me I don't have to like the game. God...

Im definitely excited about Project Ego. I think it's because of the freedom you have in the game. Everything you do effects everything else. The replay value would seem to be endless. Think about it, you can complete the game as a giant hero or you can complete it as a dark, always in the shadows person. You spend alot of time in the sun? Your skin tans. In the shadows? You will be alot more pale. You can see it in the screens on any website (or oxm) how your character can evolve. He can have differenct clothing, tatoos, etc...

Also, whats interesting is the people around your character. Kids will try to look and even act like you. Thats if your acting like a hero and not just killing citizens and stuff. Or they will run away from you if you are killing them. If you were to chop down a tree at 14 years old, 40 years later the stub will still be there with a little bit of growth.

Theres much more that gets me excited about this game. But thats a good start. Everything listed is simply about environment and not about the actual story itself (your father is killed and you try to avenge his death). Trust me, you should be excited about this game. Think zelda x10.

A reallllly ambitious idea, but what's this thing about growing old really fast? Like you can't do anything once you reach age 60 and the game just ends. Isn't that kinda... ummm... unfortunate? lol.

What more do you want to do after the age of 60? You want to pop viagra pills? Buy a rocking chair and sit in it for hours and hours? See how well Rogaine REALLY works?

I think youre expecting waaaay to much lol.

i dont think you grow old too fast. if im not mistaken isnt the game supposed to have like 200 hours of gameplay? to me that is awesome.

Call me old fashioned, but I like a game that has a huge plot, not a game where you roam around doing whatever you feel like. I was a Diablo freak... I also expect rpg's to have multiplayer, without being able to play with a friend, it's like 1/4 of the fun you could have. Morrowind could be interesting, it looks to be baldur's gate style quests without the annoying group and chats. Plus many more options with creating a character.

Everything I have read says something like 20 or 40 hours. Where did you see 200 hours? If this is true then I would be much more hyped for this game than I currently am. Now Morrowind on the other hand is said to have at least 200 hours. I'm definitely hyped for that.

Lets see, we have one of the greatest man behind the game. (Peter Molyneux) And he guarantees that this is one of the best RPG's out there. Peter is also behind Black and White, BC, and Project Ego. This guy is legendary. Just like Miyamoto.

Um...Black and White was FAR from a masterpiece on the gameplay side of things (the important part). Yes, the AI was tremendous but gameplay was nothing but extreeeeeeme micro-micro-management. Everyone I knew that played it became very frustrated with it fast.

It seems as though Molyneux is a bit overly ambitious...I hope the gameplay kicks major @ss with this one or I'm not buying any more of his games. So there. :)

Funny... I thought the game was a blast. Maybe you and your friends all have ADD and need to take ritalin before tackling a game that involves thinking.

Then again, I could spend hours picking my people up and chucking them in the ocean... god thats funny (no pun intended)

I heard you could have your create take dumps in that game. God if that was possible, just walking around and taking dumps on things would be entertaining for hours....I don't know maybe it just dosn't take much to entertain me!

If you ever played a game Peter Molyneux has created then you wouldnt have to ask this question.

Your friends are just slow i guess.........

Swirling your head in circles and whaling like a retard does damper game play. So i do see what your saying.......

Bwhahaha im just messin with you. :D

Yeah Black & white was great. But things did become tedious. But if you trained your beast and used your powers it wasnt that difficult. I cant wait for the next Black & white on Xbox!

But tell me, It was satisfying to you to be a evil god. C'mon, picking up people and throwing them into the ocean. Thowing rocks at huts. Watching your baby eat women and children.

My tiger was the s4it. He loved to help out with cutting wood. i taught him to poop in the farms. He would cast spells to water crops and put out fires. He would love to eat children too. Ohh i miss mr.tigerman. http://www.xboxaddict.com/forums/images/icons/icon9.gif

hey liquid...did u have to make 2 posts saying how unexcited you were about this game just to make sure we all knew:confused:

if ya don't like it..fine...even give your opin...but y force feed your views....personally i think silent hill2 is crap....but u don't see me bashing it and if u made a thread about it i might express my opinion ONCE..but i wouldn't come back and keep crapping on your thread. i guess what i'm trying to say is...have u eva made a positive post?

anywho..i think project ego looks slick...yes 20 hours is a lil short...but it might be fun to just take several different approachs and see what happens

i also think it would be cool if they kept the name project ego...god i'm hoping they dont' give it some lame name

Liquid.

GO TO ANOTHER THREAD.

Why the H e l l are you posting and conversing in an RPG forum when you obviously don't like RPG's? C'mon man, you're just taking up space and wasting 10 seconds of my time by forcing me to scroll through your posts.

I don't go to other genre links and bag on them. Whats the point?

Yeah, and you know what? Saddam Hussein and Osama really aren't that bad compared to Hitler... We really should cut good ol' Saddam and Osama a break just because he's not the worst person out there.

actually that was just a fun analogy I figured I'd throw in. But DZ is totally right. If you really think it is going to be that bad, go to the eXcitement section and let people there know. I check general forum for news on upcoming games and happenings, not to see what your opinion is about a game that hasn't even been released.

Peter Molyneux is, arguably, the best game developer in history. He is looked up to by many respected game developers...and, the fact that Molyneux is endorsing Project Ego to be the best RPG ever created certainly gets me intrigued. This comes from a guy (me) that really isn't much into RPGs and I am definately going to pick this one up!
