Upstart games developer CodeFire today announced that their Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3, for short) booth would feature their flagship game, Starcadia™. Starcadia™, currently exclusively in development for the Xbox™, is one of the console's first online RPG's, and is said to run over Microsoft's "Xbox Live!" system to offer interaction between gamers.

This first peek at the first of its kind on home consoles has excited many Xbox gamers, especially being an online game. Online games have been all the rage around the video game world, including online RPG's, which now include Square's Everquest and Final Fantasy XI.

CodeFire's E3 booth will also feature many games for other systems, including the Xbox™, Playstation® 2, and Nintendo GameCube. CodeFire and Sega have also been working on a number of projects together, including a modified version of Sega Swirl for the Palm™ handheld operating system.

CodeFire was formed in October 2000 and boasts an anthology of over 100 games they have involved themselves in. The Electronic Entertainment Expo takes place May 22nd through the 24th and is known as the Mecca of video gamers everywhere.

And so the epic saga of MS dominance in online gameplay begins :D Man, hopefully this game rocks, because a killer app like phantasy star online is what XBoxLive needs.
