Hi Inkslinger...I'm curious:
1. Often times I hear from people in XBConnect that it's difficult to know, without physically checking, to see if someone is sending you a private message. Do you think that incorporating a sound indicator would help?
I'm curious to see if you guys had plans with something like this in a later version. :)

The current version. the LED light on the PM button will light up
The new version we should be able to incorporate a sound effect,
(optional), Probably even make it customizable :)
Well, of to work for me... :(

Oh, cool! I didn't realize that there was a light indicator. I guess I should pay closer attention :D
Thanks!
I didn't really look on your website. But do you guys need help from a fellow coder? I've done my last 2 coops in the telecommunications industry, almost done a computer engineering degree and have programming experience in the following languages:
-C
-C++
-Java
-VHDL
-Pascal
-Visual Basic 6.0 (no .net)
-M68K and Intel 8085 assembly
-Perl
-html, asp, javascript, vbscript, bla bla bla...
I've also taught a class at a local college in server-side programming. Out of all those, my strongest languages are Perl and C as thats what I use at work. If you guys need some custom built scripts (in Perl) I can help you out. Either for tools, website, etc.. anyhoo.. let me know. I am sure I can lend you guys a couple of hours here and there if you need it.
Cheers

i have 2 questions about this
1) where could i find those RJ45 cable things?
2) is it possible go online just by connecting an ethernet from the comp directly to the computer and then use a broadband connection to load up tunnel and arcade on ur comp?

Hi, I noticed that sometimes, games are highlighted in red. Why is that? Does that mean those games are currently full?

1. RJ45 cables are standard CAT 5 patch cables (as opposed to Crossovers...you don't want crossovers unless - see #2 below)
2 You can connect your XBox to your Ethernet port on your computer with a Crossover cable if you have USB connection for your broadband modem.

Since Inkslinger hasn't had the chance to respond yet, I will: Yes, the red highlighted rooms mean that the game is full and is actively playing. :)

Ok...then is the room red if it isnt full and they are playing, or if it IS full and NOT playing?

It's only red when people are actually playing, to my knowledge. :)
Because, if a game is still open and not playing, I have noticed many times that it's still "white" like normal, however, it could be full of people trying to get in and start it :)

a game in red shows that the game is full but hasn't started, when the host starts the game and they are "playing", the game is taken from the list
hope this clears it up.............:)

Hi,
I worked all day, that's why i haven't responded.
Silvertrace had the correct answer.
Red servers are full but not started. When started they are removed from the server list.

Then how come when I try to join Wnite servers, it says it is full sometimes...and when I refresh, it is still white?

Actually, Fanofslipknotib is correct. I've had the same situation happen to me pretty often. It's not that big of deal, of course, since I just try another server.

That happens to me, also, once in a while...but no bigee

This we believe is also because of "dead"games left on the server
as a result of possibly another bug, or possibly someone leaving a game running for a long time inactive. We are working on a fix for this, hopefully.
