my friends stiffy and bloodshot have just called me from the floor of e3 and it was all i could do to understand their excited babble! they took time to call but traded off talking to me because they kept taking pictures with various e3 girlz!

so far, in the first hour there, they played two games that blew them away. the first was brute force. according to bloodshot, it will likely replace halo as the fps multiplayer game of choice for the co12. they said the single player was beautiful in how it played and how it looked. 4 thumbs up from them!

then, they said something about a game i have yet to hear of...blinx. i'm not sure what it is (perhaps one of our fellow xba people might enlighten me?), but again, they were blown away by the game.

i'm sorry there isn't more detail in this, but it was a 5 minute phone call live from the floor. they are going to call me later when they get back, so i should have some better information, and will surely hear about more games!

Check the e3 conference vid.. it has footage of Blinx. The basic premise of it is that you control time. Now how freaking cool is that!! And thats also some pretty sweet news with regards to Brute force!

Whenever they come back, you are definitely going to have to post all those pics on the net..especially the e3 girlz ;) If you need somewhere to host, I've got like 60 megs of free webspace

That is wonderful news Huckberry. And I want Blinx! I have done massive research on this game and in my opinion, it is going to be a very fast seller when it comes out! Damn, I wish I was at E3. But yeah nothing can compare to Blinx. Just the thought of it being a 4D game with the 4th dimension being time is very thrilling! Man, I can't wait. And as far as Brute Force, I am definitely getting that game too.

oh and keep us filled in on what happens. Thanks!

Thanks for posting this Huck...

Hey guys, Stiffy here. I just got back from the first day of the conference. I'll give a full post later on, but know for now that E3 is an experience that you deserve if you love games. This has been an incredible day. I got plenty of pics, and will take more this week. Until then, enjoy what news is fed through this and other sites. This conference is AMAZING.

Here's what I wrote earlier on another post:

I've been thinking what to write in this forum the entire day. What games I should talk about. The people I met. But, I figure you'll all read about those things from the "pro's" on this and other sites. Instead, I'll just leave you with this: if you're a gamer, if you love the entire culture of videogames, heck, if you're even THINKING about becoming a gamer in the next 20 years, you deserve to go to E3. Today, the first day of the convention, was literally one of the most incredible gaming experiences I've ever had.

My buddy and I walked in with the rest of the attendee's at 8am. After registering, we hung out for a while and met a bunch of the developers responsible for giving you the xbox experience you treasure. But, after entering the main arena at 10AM, things got dizzy. We were in utter awe. The minute we walked in, we jetted to the Microsoft area. I couldn't even concentrate, because the eye candy was everywhere. Just as I'd look over and see KOTR, my eyes would hit Brute Force, then scan over to Turok: Evolution, then bounce from Unreal, to Blinx, to watching Matt Hoffman tear it up on a full scale half pipe, to...well, you get the picture. All I could do was soak in what I was experiencing today. I couldn't focus on one game...there was just too much going on. This also goes for the rest of the booth. I know some people on this forum hate the "competition", but I loved everything that Sony and Nintendo had to offer. If anything, this conference reminds me why I'm a gamer.

One memory to share before I go: Microsoft really gave us a great "first E3 experience", and here's why: My buddy and I were one of the first to play Brute Force. When we went to the booth, the dude who created all the art for the game literally chatted with us for a half an hour, talking about the game and why he's so jazzed about it. It was awesome to have one of the key creators walk you through what could be the next great Xbox experience. And, don't worry, I told him at least 5 times to add in a system link on this game

Save your money for next year my friends...it's worth every penny. Yes, it's closed to the public...until you buy a ticket. I literally had NO PROBLEM getting in. Treat yourself and take my advice...you won't regret it one bit.
