My cousin that works at best buy said if you have a service plan for your XBox said if you take it in you just go to customer service desk and tell them you want your 100 back they'll give it to you. Did anyone else know about this?

and if you sleep with the Xbox turned on under
your bed it can cure male pattern baldness.

Male Pattern Baldness is a sex-linked trait I think.I learned that in Science. You know thats like the only thing I learned/like in Science is the Sex book but i hated when he talked bout G a Y dudes bustin other dudes in the booty cud cause HIV/AIDS:eek: I think Colorblindness is Sex linked too.

Does this work for all stores?
And did you do it?

I think what your cousin said can be summed up in one of two points:

1. Your cousin hates you.

2. Your cousin wants to see you humiliate yourself. See point 1.

Actually I heard it was true too! I heard it on Bungie.net (http://www.bungie.net) . But, of course, it could still be a rumor.

Hmmm.... I think if at least two more people respond
to this thread it will qualify as an urban legend.

I know at Circuit City, the salesman said it was true for both the PS2 and Xbox.

I got mine from EB, so I don't know, and it's not like Circuit City employees have never been wrong.

Do you suppose that is why they call it MALE pattern baldness?

My sister works at best buy and I asked her about this. If you have the replacement plan you say the xbox is broken and give it to them and they will give you instore credit for the price you paid and that includes tax.

I hope the first one is true!

I have a service plan at Best Buy and that is correct. If I wanted to go in and claim that my XBox is broken I can get an instore credit for the price I purchased my XBox for ($300). So I could get a new box & a couple of games or something. However I still have some of my conscience in tact so I won't do that unless it does indead break. As for just going in and getting $100 back. Sorry, not true.

Wouldnt they just replace it if it is broken? It seems like they would be losing money if they were forced to give you credit for something if you bought it say 2 years ago...I mean especially technology, if you bought a PC for 2k there and 2 years later take it back and say its broken, the same computer would be like $800...wouldnt they have to give you something equivalent to what you bought?

when i bought my Xbox with the service plan they (BB) told me the first year they replaced it and the second year they give you in-store credit for the full purchase price. But i never read it so i'm not positive.

i heard you dont even have to have a service plan, all you do is mention that you heard about it on xboxaddict.com and they hand you 100.00 bones. even if you only own a dreamcast.
