you should go to that one guys place which everyone is saying to go to get items and what not. there is a guy up the stairs who will give you a quest. also you can look to the right of where the ship dropped you off and there is a big bug thing you can ride to another city

to move up a level u must increase your skillls 10 times. . . . to increase your skills u have to use them effectivly . . . . .
example . . .
jumping around will increase your althlestics and acrobatics . . . eating ingrediance and trying to mix potions will increase alchemy .. . . .
doing majik spells will increase that school of majik . . . .
using long blade, ax, bow, or any other wepon increases that wepon skill . . . and so on

try and focus on the major and minor skill s for they r easier to develop

Go out the door at the top of the stairs inside the lighthouse. This will put you by the big fire. Stand there facing town (make sure its almost night or just turned night. Then just stand there and be patient. You will see where he goes. NOTE: While your standing there - continuously jump. This will help advance your athletics skill.

TIP: If you go to Fort Moonmoth (I think thats the name - Imperial Legion fort near Balmora) and you decide to explore everything, do NOT jump from the top of the prison towers to the top of the main building. The roof is surrounded by a high wall with no trap door in the floor. I had to drop almost all of my equipment in order to get over the wall. I was able to retrieve it all by repeatedly going back up there naked and picking up some stuff and jumping back over. It took me about 30 minutes and a bunch of health potions (long drop from the roof) to get everything back.

Well i took the long way. I walked to the other town that begin with a B. any ways, you pass through a town to get there, and thre was a lady who wanted me to guide her to this place (a field) and i fought a couple of creatures. I also stole some weapons(long sword and a bow) when the guards werent looking. reading certain books will also help out.

I joined the Blades and the Fighters Guild and have been doing some of there missions. If anyone else is familiar with Arkngthand the Dwemer ruin please tell me where I can find the Dwermer puzzle box. On my map it says I'm now in Molag Amur Region next to the Arkngthand, Hall of Centrifuse. Where do I need to go from here?

When you cross the bridge that takes you to the ruins, go imediately to the right and there's an orange crank right before you get to the closed sphere. Turn the crank and the sphere doors will open.

JJaX Pro tip

If you roll up into a store and they have some really expensive or rare helmets/armor sword etc. Jack that s4it off the shelves and run like hell. If your crime has been reported go to a spot in the town like a basement of a home where no one is around and look for barrels. Hide all your stuff in the barrels and roll up to the guards in your underwear. You end up turning yourself in a getting rid of your bounty. If you dont have the money for your bounty you might have to do some hard time. But once you get out go back to the barrels and get your s4it back.

heres some tips for any alchemists out there . . . .

1. pick everything and anything u can . . . . cant do some mixing with out any ingredience
2. eat ingedience . . . . this will improve your alchemy level a little because u learn an effect of the ingrediance(even if it says "blah blah had no effect on you" . . .
3. Also get the high grade equipment for making potions and try to get all 4 peices of equipment cauz they greatly improve your potions and if u use all 4 things at once, i think that u improve alchemy level faster also . . . .

4. If u ever get overcummbered just start mixing ingredience up when u get an effect listed . . . u will be doing 3 important things
a. improving your alchemy level
b. lighting the load so u can move agian
c. making potions that usually weigh less then the combo of the ingredience and u could also sell 'em if u dont think that their very usrfull for your character . . . .

these r just somthings that i have learned in the few days that i have had the game . . . . also if u are really lost about alchemy or want to learn more check this site out . . . .

morrowind alchemy site (http://www.morrowindalliance.com)

strange thing, speaking of hiding all your stuff in barrels....

I put a buttload of items in some barrels and urns (the ones right as you walk into Balmora). I left balmora for a few days, and I came back. Guess what. the items were GONE! Before then, there had been some Argonian dude walking around there....but, he's gone also!! I don't think its possible that the game is "intelligent" enough to have an NPC "rob" you? Has anyone else experienced this?

Thats pretty crazy! Is there any "bank" like area where you can store your things? I dont think there is but it seems like I would want to keep things in another place instead of always on me...

if you kill someone and use their house to store goods then im sure it wouldnt have gotten robbed . . . . . but u claimed to have left your belongings in a public place. . . so whos to say the game/NPC wont rob you after a few days . . . . your obviously claimed to have been robbed . . . u could also stash your goods and lock whatever u stashed them in . . . or the door to the house u stash your junk in . . .

Maybe like if you leave a town or a "zone" for a certain amount of time it will reset whatever you did to that area...like it wont remember what you dropped or if you did something not all that important and such

when it says that its accually not resting its only 'waiting' . . . its a little different cauz if u r about to level up then it wont count and u dont restore health and magicka only fatiuge . . .i think u have to accually rest in a bed or out of town to level up.

I'm positive. I checked on it several times (I would store some ingredients for potions, and the like). Everytime I checked it was there....except, the last time, as I was checking the barrels, this argonian dude was strolling by. Now he's gone and so is the items....

I just thought...that would be cool if the game was intelligent enough to have him steal the items after he sees me leave......no I can track him down and beat his @ss (actually, my guy is a wuss.....he's an alcemist/enchanter/mage)....he cant really fight worth a damn. (where's that "turn flesh to stone' spell when I need it!!)

my guys not much of a fighter eighter . . . i get killed by the dumbedt creaters sometimes . . . hes a sneaky thief/wizard . . . and i refur to him as a wizard and not a mage cauz by definition a mage is stronger(majikally) then a wizard and my guy only has alchemy, unarmored, and 2 skools of majik as skills from magik . . .

I was overcumbered so I dropped my sword is someone's house and went to sell some items. When I came back, they had already left with the sword.

I have noticed that sometimes if you empty a barrel or crate that is outside and come back at a later time, you will find new stuff in the barrel. When you went back to find your stuff gone, was there different stuff there? Like some Kwama eggs or someting? I wonder if the game resets the stuff in the containers sometimes.

Personally, I store all my stuff in the Balmora Fighter's Guild by the bunkbeds. I just leave it on the floor and have never had anything come up missing.

I now have started leaving my items in the closet next to the bunkbeds, in the mage's guild of Balmora. The closet gets full...so I guess I'll start leaving things on the ground around it (if you say that it is safe to do so).

on a random side note...

I was just thinking lastnight, about how (even more) amazing this game would be if it was online...with xbox live.

I can only drool at the idea of my soon-to-be Warlock Kiernan Azaroth hiring a couple fighters (as escorts/guards), along with a few assassins (to do my dirty work), and planning out how to take over the continent (from my secret mage's lair).

well...secret until I get powerful enough to enlist a legion of warriors, guards, appretnices, etc and have those lowly slaves build me a fitting castle....muhahahaha!!

of course...all (most) of the other characters would be PC's also...NOT NPC's....

Drooooool !!!

as you come off the bridge, hit a right and you should see in front of you the ruin doors. What you need to do first however is hit the crank to get the doors to open. The crank is after the bridge on the left side sticking out of a hill if you are making your way to the ruins. I hope that helps.. if you need more help, ask away and I'll try to help if I can.

Man I'm at a strange moment. I've been working for the Fighter's Guild and now I've been sent to retrieve the code book from Sottilde however she originally refused to offer me any info about it. So I joined the theives guild just to see if she'd give me the book. She said she'd hand it over to the authorities herself and that the Fighters are just a bunch cronies for the TONG. How would I beable to get this book from her WITHOUT killing her. If I kill her, the crime is reported and I have to fend off all around me... Is there a way to get the book from her without resorting to violence... as its most likely to get me killed. Should I just work for the Theives? If so, how do I get the key from that Dunmer's servant in the racest bar? I pickpocketed her but she didn't have it on her. I even pickpocketed the man WHO I KNOW has the key, yet even he didn't have it when I picked his pocket. However, I killed him and was able to get the key but then Sugar Lips doesn't wanna pay me for it. What does it require to AQUIRE this item? Either item would be fine, who ever has a solution for either one that is.

JASON'S TIP OF THE DAY!!!

Want a quick 12k cash? Well if you do then go to the Dren Plantation and go to the building at the end, go into the basement and with the aid of an invisibility spell you can very easily steal 12k in GOLD, not items, so you don't have to worry about shopkeepers only having 3k :)

Where's the Dren Plantation?

Also, if anyone else wants some nice gold, go to the North-eastern tower in Balmora and on top of a dresser there is a 17K sword. One pitfall... there is a guard right beside it. I know that if your sneak skill is high enough you can grab it without him seeing. I just went for the more traditional approach and used a new spell of mine called Calaldum Vampyre Bite. It absorbs 20-60 health over 2 secs as well as paralyzing the victim for 2 sec. Get undressed, payoff debt, reclaim loot and I now have a 17k sword :)

But Jason.. hook me up with the Dren Plantation location!

Sneak up behind them and then press A as if you were trying to talk to them. You'll be presented with an inventory of what that person is wearing wehre you can take what you please. Its not guaranteed to work 100% all the time because its a skill just like any other.

When you first enter the Dungeon you walk down the rocks and then you can enter doors (which most do) and then you explore all over the place. The problem is that the box is not in any of those rooms. Instead of entering the doos, after walking down the rocks look for another set of rocks to walk up. This leads to a door that says something about a cell. Enter, kill the guy and walk over to the shelves. The box is on the bottem shelf. I spent days exploring the dungeon when finding the box could have only taken 5 minutes. There is a lot of cool stuff to explore in the dungeon however.

I do that every time. I overexplored the tunnel too and end up passing right by stuff all the time. In the beggining of this game I have noticed that every time they send you some where the person or thing you need to find is never deep in an area, it's always right there in the front. Just can't look too hard or you'll miss it.

IM a level 3 redguard (healer). and i was on a side quest where i escourted this naked dude to this witch, who pimped him good, where i decided to side with the witch, he kicked my ass.. He had no weapons on him at all and i had a magic sword, and i was armored down. Second, i tried to kill the thief(archer) outside the egg mines(caldera also) and he gave it to me. I then thought to myself," i really need to level up some". How can i gain more experience, or shall i say get tougher, when my character is a pu$$y ass healer. or should i change characters? Also one of my major skills is hand to hand, like im ever gonna use that. somebody please respond.

well charlie, i havent played the game as much as you, infact im still level 1, but as far as i can tell, i would probably switch characters.. as of now im playing a red guard as well, and he is the knight class, i still dont know how you got to level 3 because that must have taken a long time, how did you do it ? also, it took me a long time to find a character i like, i first played a dark elf, then changed to wood elf, and finally stuck with red guard.. so you might want to change, although you seem to be pretty far and that would suck to start over again, but the game is so damn cool you might just wan to

Also, from your expierence with the redguard, do you like him>

I have a level 3 Redguard also and I'm a monk so I have hand to hand too. Try sneeaking up on enemies and punching them. This inflicts critical damage if succesful. If it doesn't kill em just pull out your sword to finish em. Enough fighting and you will see hand to hand become more powerful. Stick with it.

I'm about to be promoted to Swordsman in Fighters Guild also and I get absolutely no respect.

I hate walking by NPC's and all day long I have to hear the insults. Even when I try to avoid them the game detects the interaction and the people say "hurry outlander, I'm busy" or "unpleasent meeting you again outlander" and so on. Sometimes they walk in front of me and say these things. Does this annoy anyone else?? It almost makes me want to turn the soud off but I don't want to miss any thunderstorms on the 5.1 woofer.

Just hack and slash at him. Then just swipe the key away from his dead body. I think he carries some gold too. :p

He's tight, but i just hate his major and minor skills, he is more of a magician type person, when i perfer more of a fighter. Kinda feels like i just bought a gamecube, knowing im a grown ass man. Anyways, im starting over and changing my character to an assasin or warrior(or shall i say, im getting an xbox and returning the GC back to the kiddie pool).

Heh....just got the game....and I NEED HELP!...where can i find the Silt Strider Thing?

EHWfedPres

The silt strider is not hard to find, it looks like a really tall bug thing. Look on the map for it, or get the Morrowind Prophecies book, which is really helpful if your lost or stuck or whatever.

Dude, maybe this game ain't for you. This is really basic, basic stufff you're asking. All you have to do is play the game and read a little. That's part of the adventure. Ask questions to the people in Sayda, explore and experiment and you will be fine.

It's down by the water. Look up, it's huge. You probably think it's legs are trees.

Dawg, the stilth strider looks like a 40 foot flea, on the west side of town. Also there is a pic. of it when the game is loading. You should have found it by now.

different silt striders go different places. Get the Morrowind Prophecies guide to get a map of all the transportation locations, that includes boats and mages as well.

I'm inside the castle at Ebonheart. Downstairs. I'm in the room at the end of the prison chambers (with the weaponsmith).

There are several crates laying around with good armor and even about (20) raw glass (@ $200 a pop!!)

and...there is a key on one of the crates (opens the prison cell doors).

now....HOW THE HELL do I get that key wihtout him seeing me (and throughly beating the snot otu of me!)

I have tried sneaking, I have gone invisible, etc.

HELP?

also.....anyone know where I can purchase the "mark' and "recall" spells?

Thanks!!

Alien

There is another place to steal the raw glass. I don't remember where......I have like 5-8 pieces too. But I'm gonna take 'em down to Caldera and sell them to that scamp or whatever that gives you full price for all of your items...he's in the Ghornak (or whatever...run by a bunch of Orcs) Manor.
