I'm at the Shrine of Courtesy in the Puzzle Canal. I have a Silver Longsword and when I go to the monolith, nothing happens. Anyone have a clue what I'm doing wrong?

Yes. The Morrowind Prophecies is a must-have for every Morrowind owner. It has every map, every weapon and piece of armor rated in a chart, alchemy ingredients, every quest, etc. You have to go buy it. You wont be disappointed when you dins out where to get 2 swords worth 17,000 each. :D

and how many side quests are there, does it say?

Yeah I have 2 Ebony longswords that are worth 37000 each. Not to mention a sword of white woe, lots of extra glass armor and weapons, lots of ebony armor I dont need and various misc items such as a library probably worth more than 30000.

The ebony stuff is worth heaps, but is so heavy it isn't worth it when considering that no merchants have that much anyway.
