7 Month Report Card.

Our little XBOX is just over 7 months old now, how do you think it's doing overall??

Hardware: I give it an A, i have experienced 0 problems with my console.

Games: I give it a A-, it's been slow going but their have been some great games to keep me busy.

Future Plans: A+, If only 1/2 of the games rumored to imerge by xmas actually show, coupled with XBOX LIVE the future looks fantastic.

Grade those 3 criteria for our Black & Green Machine.

Hardware: A-, its really good, but some games dont use it to its full potential, or even half of its potential (effective use of the harddrive, graphics, etc.)

Games: B+ (so far, there hasnt really been THAT many really great games, although there were some awesome ones, i wasnt really interested in alot of games.

Future Plans: A+ (im really excited about xbox live, that is gonna be really awesome, i cant wait. and the games coming out for the xbox look really awesome like splinter cell, brute force, duality, fable, the mech games, UC, doom 3 possibly, and alot more) the xbox has really great potential, and i think that the rest of this year is really gonna show that off:D

Hardware: Give it a A because there is always room for improvement no matter how good the console is.

Games: I have to give it a B. I've really enjoyed 3 A+ games so far: Halo, Morrowind and Hunter. There are other titles that have gotten my interest but I've usually beat those in a game rental so they earn an avg rating of B. There are also a couple of pretty big flops so I think it averages out to B. However, the lineup thats coming is just mind-blowing. When these games come out (check my sig) this category will get an A++.

Sound: Not an original point, but I have to give props to Xbox's dolby digital sound. Its mind-blowing! A

Future Plans: Discussed above. Along with Xbox live, we are in for a treat. A here as well.

As you can see, I am extremely satisfied with the Xbox and the direction it is taking.

Well im happy with everything with my black big ass beauty.
I most thankful for the release of the Controller-S.

But im only complaint is the software selection. I only own 8 games and I was expceting to have atleast a good 10-15 6 months into the Xbox's life cycle.
So that shows me we need more quality titles.
Which for the most part will start dropping in hte fall/winter of this year.
But as of now, other than the games (which means just about everything) in happy,... then again. It would be nice if MS hooked up da gamers dat dropped $299.99 on the Xbox with something to thank us for being the early adopters. Naw mean kids?:)

yea, we should have gotten something. like maybe an extra controller and a game or something like that. but, i dont really care, the xbox is a really great system, and it keeps me entertained most the time, lol. i just cant wait until xbox live launces, it will be soooo fun, i cant wait for UC. i hope i get picked as a beta tester, that would be so off the hizzy fo sheezy! lol:D

lol. u wanna see the wrath of my spam? haha. j/k. anyway, i have no idea what to say, and i wanna make this a long post. lol. so, um, today was my last day of school! i had 1 final exam today, and it was biology, it was pretty easy. then after the exam, i played a little poker with some people, cause there was still like an hour left. then my mom picked me up in the mustang (she has a '66 mustang, its pretty nice). then i just came home and played some CS, watched tv, and now im downloading some porn. lol:D :cool: :)

Hardware : Let's see, I can play all of the newest games, haven't had a problem with any yet (knock on wood....ouch) and I can watch all kinds of movies with a remote. I can use the built in NIC and play friends online or on another XBox in the same room. AND I have a hard drive to use instead of memory cards, that even holds songs that I can listen to. Grade = A+

Games : Besides Kabuki Warriors :D , I haven't played one terrible game yet (pretty close with Silent Hill). With the dolby digital support that the games include, along with the minimal load times, amazing graphics, and very nice replayability (regardless of the game, the graphics always bring me back for more). Grade : A+

Future of the Box : XBL - 'nuff said Grade = Big fat A+

Games that I rotate on a daily basis: Outlaw Golf, SSX Tricky (middle of the dam summer and we still play that game), WSB (here and there), DOA3, Hunter (until I just traded it yesterday), and Project Gotham. I own about 20 games, and I would say that the only one I was REALLY not happy with was RAW, so it sits there and collects dust.

I have just about played almost every game that is out for the Box by rentals or friends, so yeah, not all are perfect, but the ones that I listed, and IMO, I would say it gets an A+....cuz it beats anything else on the market.

Hardware: I give Hardware an A+ because there is plenty of hardware available and there have been hardly no problems with the hardware available.

Games: I give games an A- because, like most of you guys said, they were slow starting off, but there have still been some AMASING games that have kept me quiet busy, and pleased.

Future: I give the future of the box an A++ because of the games that ARE coming out, and of course because of the (I CAN'T WAIT!) XBOX LIVE!! I think the future is going to be unbelievable, and that now is the BEST time to be an XBOX owner.

Hardware: A+ Xbox simply has the best hardware out of all the gaming consoles.

Games: B Im only judging the exclusives. Halo was a great game, but for me its life was a little too long. My next favorite game was hunter, and it came out a long time after halo. ssx tricky was fun too, but it isnt an xbox exclusive. so i wish there were more games more often. but it had better games than ps2 had when it was 7 months old. a b isnt bad.

Future: A+ Im so excited about the future. Xbox is the strongest system, so i think it will last the longest. xbox live will be awesome. I think that xbox's online plans will make it rise above the other consoles, along with its games.

Games: A the games are great from when i got halo to when i got WSB there have only been a few games not worth while.

Future: A+ the future of the xbox looks better than any other console out there and xbox live will be great.

Overall I have been satisfied but there have been times where I have felt like I wanted to return the system and go back to strictly CPU gaming. I also share the feeling that M$ should have done something for those of us who droped $299, free extended warrranty or Xbox MAgazine Subscriptions or something... The day I heard they lowered it to $199 I felt betrayed, but anyhoo those who buy in early always suffer.

Games: C

I have yet to be truely overcome by anygame on the system, Halo was very nice but I beat it in 3 days. PGR was very nice but the Kudos thing took a while to get used to. Obo-Wan was a huge let down (I am still puzzled why Lucas Arts did not rather bring the Jedi Knight series to the platform) RalliSport is cool but there is no in-car and courses can be repetative and at times unrealistically narrow. THPS2X great game, new game to me, I have never tried the THPS series, THPS3 kind of a let down, nothing that made me to excited. Blood Omen 2, fun, very fun too short, too linear. James Bond 007 AUF - waste of time and money, it was a cake walk. Max Payne, really enjoyed it for the 2 days I needed to beat it. Outlaw Golf, probably the best game I have played or the Xbox beacause there is so much replay value and the fact that I am a golf nut, as is my father and grandfather, gives me a chance to socialize. The big thing that dragged this score down was my consideration of all of those titles that I had not purchased and how lame they were... All of those 3D0/DVD movie games, that was a pathetic attempt to boost the number of games available. I believe in quality over quantity.

Future: A

Most anticipated games: Yager, Conflict Desert Storm, Unreal Tourn, Battlefield 1942, one of those Mech games... (still mulling that decision over) Collin McRae Rally 3, Outlaw Vollyball and a few others. I truely cannot see Xbox Live being all that successful, I mean I will be there playing, but I think the average gamer will not be playing all that often.

Games: B, The only thing that was good was Hunter and Morrowind, and smashing Drive lowered the grade a bit!!

Future: A+++++++++++, : XboxLive and the GREAT games that are coming out in the Winter!!

System: A (Its perfect, and like most people say.. Bill Gates gave developers to develop what they want. They just have to hop aboard the Xbox Train.)

Games: C- (Halo is my favorite game, and I only play Hunter when someones over. I beat Spider-Man so I dont play that alot.I rented DoA3 and enjoyed it might buy it. Jet Set Radio was okay. Like I said there isnt many games out that give Xbox a solid C. Its only 7 months though so for all of you who gave a Xbox a A for games, have to be easliy enjoyed or just a fanboy ;).If developers didnt become *** it would of gotten a B if Raw and Wreckless were awsome games like they looked.)

Future Plans: B (Project Ego,DoA Extreme Vollyball,Brute Force,XBL,Unreal Championship.)

I think I lost my fun with console gaming, since I havent played my Xbox in awhile. I still think its the best system. When it goes online I know I'll play it more because any game I get for PC its only for onlineplay.Heres my rating for Gamecube

System: B (Loading time is my favorite, its like 2 seconds.)
Games: C- (Super Smash Bro's Meele, Beast Fighter or whatever.. Thats about it)
Future Plans: A (F-Zero,Link,Mario,Metriod,StarFox,SSBM2 <- This is a killer line right here)

Gamecube will have a killer line up when Nintendo releases its main knockout titles.Sad though the only good games come from Nintendo

The only games that I truly like are Spider-Man, Halo, and Rallisport, and Tony Hawk 3, Madden 2002, oh yeah, and Project Gotham Racing. There are more then 70 games but only these appealed to me.

Future Plans - A
I like the future titles.Especially the ones in my sig. Xbox live should be cool.
