Are you going to be able to surft the 'Net with Xbox live, or is it for playing online only?

Don't get me wrong; I'm not a newbie on this topic.

no srufing. yet.

surfing the web was never a priority for microsoft with xbox. they did not intend on turing it into a computer like ps2 is with their linux kits.

For now its primarily for communicating and playing over the network.

Oh well. I kind of thought it sounded too good to be true.

The only grounds I had to believe Xbox Live could be used to surf the 'Net was that since you could both surf and play online with the Dreamcast, and since Microsoft is partners with Sega, well, you just put 2 and 2 together... and voila!


I guess I'll have to invest in one of those hubs I heard about, since my PC is upstairs, in my room, and my Xbox is downstairs, in the basement. But I don't think it'll work, 'cause they are on separate floors, and on opposite ends of the house.

I play halo on xbconnect and I have the a hub next to my computer and cable modem and a 50 foot cable going to my xbox. All u will need is to drill a small hole in the floor.

nooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!! that kinda sux....... i was

looking forward to surfing the net with a system that didnt freeze

every 5 seconds like my comp...... o well i guess u cant win em all.

lol. that sucks. but u could just run a cable between both rooms. it would take alot, but u could probly do it. or just get a wireless hub
