Morrowind beginner question

How do you use a weapon that has magical abilities? I have some throwing stars that are supposed to do shock damage but I haven't been able to get them to work.

It depends on how the enchantment is set up. It can be set up to to activate 'on use' or 'on successful hit'(maybe worded differently). Check the info on the weapon in inventory. If it's 'on use', you have to activate it like a spell. If it's 'on successful hit', it will activate automatically when it successfully hits something.

You have to select it from the list in inventory like you would a special ability or a spell. Then you have to cast it like you would a special ability or a spell. For information on casting a spell, read the manual.

Its probaly on contact. Your marksman is probaly to low to connect. But once they connect it should do the magic it says, Like an extra 5-10 points lighting damage.

My marksman is at 23 and i still miss a lot

I think my marksman is at 26 but i mis alot too. I like every 1/3 shot. Thats using a crossbow not a bow. I think it is easier to hit with a crossbow but im not sure.

I can hit animals, such as Cliff Racers, and people from a far distance. Like they appear this big on the screen :). But up close, like around 10 yds. and less, I can't hit worth jack. It's weird.
