hey what format does the music files have to be on a cdrw for xbox to recgonize them....I have .wav files on a memorex cdrw and I got a error that the disk cannot be recgonized.....Has anyone had luck with memorex cdrw's? This is really ****ing me off! I guess from what I heard that there are two different dvd roms in the xbox, one can read memorex and the other cannot! HELP!

i think that you have to have a modchip for it to read cdrws at all

You do not need the mod chip to read cd-rws. Let me do some looking because there was a list of cdr and cdrw that work.

This is what I found. I may be a list that someone in this forum posted, but I don't remember. Just make sure that the cd is in standard audio format. Hope this helps.

TDK 80min CDRW
Memorex 74min CDRW

I use IMATION 10x CDRW's and they work fine. Just burn the CD as a MUSIC CD (meaning the files have to be in .CDA format) in order to rip it to your Xbox.

cool, I believe nero changes mp3's into .cda format when you choose audio cd...I am going to give it a try!

It does indeed. It's the same proggy I use. Enjoy!
