OK, if you have a DSL cable and a network hub, you already have an isp. So when you plug your Xbox to the hub, you are sharing an isp with your computer and you can use the Xbox Live!....So, yea, you do need an isp.

You didn't answer his question. He asked if you need a particular ISP. The answer is no. As long as you have broadband you've got the right connection.
