Xbox live is the official online xbox service provided by microsoft. it is $49.99 for an xbox live kit, which includes a year's subscription, the xbox live communicator (a headset/mic), and a game called revolt.

I'd also recommend getting OXM. The demo disc alone makes it worth it to me.

This issue has like a 6 page spread on XBL, pick it up. Anyway sub is only like $25 for a year.

Just a suggestion. And like the others said there's a ton of info on the web.
