That would be cool. Not just for worthless @$$ thevious pirates, but also for home devs. People who want to try to make home brewed games, this would really be a cool option.

This just doesn't make any sense at all to me. I was under the impression that there were actual hardware differences between both.

Yep, there are hardware differences between the both :) Some of the more prominent differences are the dev kits have 128Mb of RAM and a larger hard drive.

yea, but maybe he just tricked the xbox into thinking it was a dev xbox.

im sure you could have the same image on the hard drive. so long as there are no major harware differences its possible. in theory. however, i highly doubt that microsoft would leave a back door on a $300 machine that would turn it into a $10k machine (or whatever the dev kits cost).

woa! that rulz! but its probly hard as crap to do. but you would need to buy a second xbox to do it or you would lose all your hardrive saves. but why dont they show a pic of the final product, why does it end at copying files indted of finished?

I think I remember reading that DEV kits can't play retail games.

a dev kit or a debug kit? i would think the debug kit would be more logical
