I'd start with this: http://64.119.168.31/news.php?id=2055

Then follow up by mentioning the 100 or so some odd units at the TGS that ran for days with hundreds of people using them without any problems.

Then mention all the gaming sites doing Xbox reviews with their units and also having no problems.

Then bring up the fact that that article (and all the complaints thus far) are pure speculation at this point.

You have no way of verifying the authenticity or sincerity of the people who wrote in.

Believe it or not there are a whole lot of desperate "fanboys" out there willing to exaggerate any problems they might see in hopes to damage the Xbox in some way.

Granted there will be defects, it happens to all consoles nothing new there. (Infact the PS2 was plauged by defects in the beginning http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/2/16044.html )
But take reports of nation wide faults with every unit out there as an out and out lie.

I really hope It ain't so... the launch of the xbox Is a little over 3 weeks away, and that seems too long as It Is. If someone knows anything about these so called xbox malfunctions or anything about the delaying the launch of the xbox.. please share the information.

Dude,

The media is all about starting controversy. They have to write about something, ya know?
