XBOX Live Communicator

I was jus thinkin about the microphone that you speak into. Will it have a mute feature or something? Also, how will it be turned on, like do you press the white or black button to turn it on/off. If it is like that, then would it interfere with certain games that use the white and black buttons, like Halo for example?

Maybe there is a button on the actual headset or it could just automatticaly turn on kinda like the controlers.

All Xbox Live games will support the Communicator headset. With a Communicator plugged into your Xbox controller, you will be able to talk to teammates and opponents in real-time as you play. The white and black buttons on the Xbox controller will enable team-only or global talk mode, though I am not sure which will be which. There will be a mute feature so you can ignore foul-mouthed players while still hearing more mature ones.

Game sounds will not be sent through the Communicator, only voice chat.

According to the August 2002 issue of OXM, in very early testing the Communicator sounds about as good as a digital cell phone. Not bad, if they can keep that quality over 64kbps upstream connections.
