Couple of questions

ok, i live in the country where i know i can't get DSL, vut then i heard about Direct PC(the satelite broadband thingy) and i was wondering if i can use it for xbox live, can someone give me a little info plz?:confused:

I don't see why you can't. Note though, Direct PC is very expensive over the DirectTV DSL. I would ensure you can't get any DSL before going that route.

Anyways, I don't think direct PC will work. You see, your TV can't talk to the satellite beaming you the signal, so what direct PC does is establish a 56k modem connection to a server, then your computer requests stuff from the net. This request is then beamed back to you via the satellite. This gives you great download speeds that are comparable to DSL, but your upload speed is crap modem speed, and upload is a big part of XBox Live :(

I would not recommend it... the upload thing above coupled with lag will make it unplayable!

lol. never get satellite. its horrible. its like impossible to play games. it lags like a mofo. but can u get cable internet? i have it. its really good. its like as good as dsl:)

You can't play games over Sat. because of the latency.

Thats fine. Though I do spend gross amounts of time on this forum (some days even up to 15 minutes!) I can understand that not everyone has the ability to do this. Just remember though, first time your penalty was a warning. Next time I figure out your email account and subscribe you to every porn mail listing possible (assuming you haven't already subscribed) Third offense I figure out where you live, go to your house and slap your mother.

Plz just tell me theres hope for me and my box....:( Since i guess there isnt don't you guys forget about little ryan who wanted to play his xbox on the internet so bad...remember who got left behind(cue music) and dont ever take your DSL for granted remember me and all of us who there is no hope when your playing halo 2 online (pulls gun out, points it to his head.....loses nerve, sets gun down.......:(
