Anybody else have a problem with their game crashing? I noticed it tends to happen a lot when I'm escorting someone but lately it just gives me a BSoD and then says the disc is dirty when I've been pulling up a menu. I was just wondering in case I may need to get my game replaced. It doesn't always give the the BSoD, sometimes it just freezes and all I can do is reset it.

yeah i have had a problems with freezing and the dirty disc applet, until they give us some kind of update or something, ill just play with the risk of freezing. All you can really do is save ALOT, so you dont get screwed when your at yur best.

I just got finished responding to something like this in the general forum.

Yeah, some say it doesnt happen at all, some say it only happens between 150 and 200 blocks.

Personally the last save I have in is like 215 blocks, and it is happening more than ever. Pretty much every half hour. It seems to me that the more often I have to load (basically if I'm using the blinding boots) the more often it happens.

Hopefully it will stop, if not, all I can say is if you're doing a quest involving a lot of work, save at each step. It's much easier than going back and starting over.

Yeah, all I can do is save more often. It just irks me that this is happening on a console game. I'd like to lower my score of this game to a 4.5 for sheer lack of polish. I love this game but it is broken in so many ways. I think I'll start a thread just on how broken the game is.

Everyone got this problem, so we must complain with Bethesda Softworks..everyone agree ?

P.S. If you playing a lots (6 hours and up with no rest of the machine), i think the xbox gonna be overheat and freeze. Every console or pc can not endure that. A least try to stop a while and replay it. I know you can't because all of you love soo much the xbox...

honestly, LIVE WITH IT. ok, it crashes. SO SAVE IT OFTEN. i mean seriously, whats the big deal? seems to me like u are a bunch of crying babies too lazy to save.

and incase u haven't noticed, THERE ARE WAYS TO PREVENT IT FROM SAVING, which one of those ways i know.

Actually, the very first time I got a "Disk Dirty" error was when I was saving. Sent the file straight to Hell. If it weren't for my autosave file, I would have had to start over from scratch. Still, I had to play for like three hours straight to get back what I'd lost.

I'm not complaining, mind you. Morrowind's more than worth it. But I'm a bit resentful. I'm scared $#!+less that it's going to lock up on me an hour since my last save, and I'm scared even more $#!+less that it'll lock up on me while I'm saving and I'll lose a day's worth of play . . . or worse.

So the more blocks i use on my save game (approximately 200) is going to effect the overall flow of the game? Interesting. Ill tell you this much....

I've had this game for about 2 weeks and I've had a few freezes and improper loading.

Which I notice unfortunately seems to be a trend on alot of the port games for xbox. As far as the improper loading....I get the xbox green screen of disc is dirty or damaged off a boot up.

This game is flawed in alot of parts, i love it but its safe to assume that this game has some kinks in the code.

I mean the PC version gets updates and what not... and these kind of games are what make my PS2 friends say how much the Xbox is broken.

I feel like telling them its all software, but it's kinda hard after every other game on the XBOX, got glitches and skitches.

Not ALL, but ALOT. Leaves me wondering who is doing the "Qaulity-Control" at these companies, like BETHESDA?:(

I'm a lazy cry baby because I demand a quality product? True, any rpg-er knows to save often, but only in the case that you do something stupid and send your character to a premature death. Never before on a console RPG was one expected to save because the game may just quit on you.

I love this game but I'm playing less and less as it crashes more often. Not only am I getting annoyed with having to redo that which I've already done but I'm also getting tired of having to wait through the five to six minutes to reset the xbox and then wait for it to load up the save file. If I'm playing for a couple of hours, this can add up to thirty minutes of reloading time. And thirty minutes of watching a little status bar just isn't fun.
