well i didnt get it today, but supposedly they r sending them out untill OCt. since the beta will be an on going thing . . . . i dont think anyone should have voted 'no' yet cauz the e mial mightend up in your mail box tommorw or next week

lol. im like 90% sure that ill get picked. for the survey, i put in such bullsh*t answers. i put in the answers that they were looking for, lol. like i put that i always play videogames, and that i play 11+ hours a week. and that i would rather be playing videogames than go outside. lol

I got it as well. I put in answers that I truly felt. For instance, the one about winning over having fun I put a seven because I believe that having fun is the most important thing, but at least for me if I don't win SOME of the time, it's not fun.

Hope I get in. We'll see.

I got it...I tried to be honest, but put a few little white lies. I couldn't really tell what they wanted, though. Maybe they're looking for people that only play 2-3 hours a week? I put 11+...sadly, that was an honest answer.

i think they wanted someone that said 11+. so that person could be playing xbox live all the time, and they could see what was wrong with it or anything. so i put 11+, even though i only play like 4-5 hours a week

I am really confused. I signed up to be a beta tester months ago. I registered my xbox, but it says I've registered no xboxes. I haven't gotten an e-mail. :( I wanna be a beta tester!!!!

I'm not so sure. There were 2 versions of the email that went out. For those of you who didn't know, some people got an email without a link to a survey, and it was worded in such a way to lead you to believe that you were sort of a backup (Thankfully I got the good one!).

That being said, there are only 20 something responses of 'yes' out of 9,000 plus members. I realize that not all members actively post or even browse the forums, but still, the disparity between the number of possible positive responses and the actual number is huge.

Hopefully this means that not as many individuals as we believe have recieved the email, and we are more likely as recipients of the emails, to be selected as beta testers!

I got mine today as well.

But no one knows for a fact that they are just picking people with 11+ hours, and who said 9 on most of those beginning questions, or whatever.

I answered truthfully. Most of my answers were about 5. I had one at 3, and one at 7. And I did say 11+ hours, which is true. But to be honest, we don't know what they're looking for. The survey might not even have anything to do with who they pick. If it was, it would be unfair to the people who tell the truth. If the people who just picked the highest answers every time were shoe-ins, that would be pretty pointless.

Im not so sure about the whole 11+ hours thing..... If I was micosoft I would attempt to pick people from every leval of hours played and see how each group liked certian things and didnt like others

For one. I got the e-mail. Secondly, I have a friend at MSFT who was nice enough to put me on the beta list. Word is that instructions for those chosen will be coming out in a couple weeks. The first round of starter kits will be in people's hands by the end of the month. Even though I have a friend on the inside, I still have to pay.

Oh well, can't ask for everything.
