I'm assuming that most of the XBOX titles will be DVD based hence the copy protection is the sheer fact of the size alone. I know that some PS2 titles are showing up on the warez scene, but these are titles that are NON DVD and are stripped down to burnable state. Also given the cost of DVD burners and the sheer download chaos that would come from days of transferring a 6gig file just to play? Doesn't seem worth it in my opinion. I'd rather spend a few bucks at the local blockbuster and rent it. :)<P>
It's common known fact that nothing can be secure anymore, Piracy has been around and will continue to be for as long as there are products to pirate. Most pirated titles are stripped of some of the essentials for the game, sound and video are scaled down to make the file size small enough to pirate. Judging from the titles that have been shown for the XBOX, they all seem purchase worthy (well a few look rental material) but hey not all titles will be "must haves!", that goes with the territory.

Okay, time to smack down this subject. Everything can be hacked or cracked in some way sooner or later, but burning xbox games wont be easy and accesible as recent systems. The xbox uses a dvd disc format known as DVD-9, which holds 8.5 gigs max. The economical 700 megs max cds these days could not accomodate that much, even if you trimmed, you might only get down to 5 gigs. Many people then ask about the DVD-r's. Truth is, xbox cannot and prolly will not read dvd-rs, plus, dvd-rs only hold 4.5 gigs max. So, as you can see, it wont be that easy.
