The best way to deal with the situation of needing a credit card and not having one is to open a checking account and getting a Visa check card. These debit cards WILL work the same as credit cards. Just don't use it for anything but XBL. Credit cards, or debit cards, can really mess you up financially.

i asked at xbox.com about the credit cards....and he said it may change as we get closer to the launch of XBL :)

here's hoping...they need to hook the younger gamers up with a better option. The last thing you guys need is to get a credit card. A debit card is okay, but credit cards are hassles that you don't need when you're in high school. You need to enjoy life...hassle free.

they should have something 4 younger gamers where you could goto your local game store and buy a month or two of service which would come with some kinda key number and when you get home you enter the key number into your xbox and bam! u have xbox live for whatever months u paid for
