i have this setup in my house...It doesnt have an optical audio port....or does it? i didnt see one!! and im not gettin 5.1 Dolby Digital goodness!!! WHAT SHOULD I DO!!! if you guyz want me to post up a picture of the rear of the reciever just ask!!! :(

Your receiver is too old dude!
I don't see any digital coaxial or optical input.

The fartman is right...I see no optical hook ups...get a Harman Kardan AVR 320...

get one of those adapters that gives two head phone jacks. Then hook up two sets of external cd speakers to them and place them all around you.

Your receiver is dolby digital READY. Which means it can't decode the dolby digital signal but it can pass it through from a separate dolby digital decoder (which is why you have the speaker outputs for surround sound but not no optical digital input). You can either buy a separate dd5.1 decoder or get a new receiver if you want true dd5.1 sound from dvd's or your xbox.
