My e-mail says

Today you have been chosen to play among the few. The connected. The Beta Testers.

it goes on to list what's included in the Beta Starter Pack and ends with

We?ll be sending you a link to sign up and subscribe within the next 30 days.
-Xbox live selection team

Is this legit?

Yes it legit, you been chosen but will be part of the 2nd phase of beta tester. As the email said, within 30 day you'll hear from them so you're in.

I got email saying that they would let me know my beta status by september 20th. oooh well hope I still have a chance.

After speaking to Tech support via online chat I was told that the e-mail stating that a link would be sent within 30 days to order the kit is legit. It's also not referreing to the second wave as so many have assumed. Beta Team did it to relieve the stress on the servers and the network by preventing everyone from logging in and ordering the kits at the same time. He said that anywhere from a few days to a week when the volume slowed we would receive the link. We are in, we're in the first wave we just gotta wait a little while. if anyone wants them I have the transcripts i can post when I get home.

Yeah Maverick I just found out the same info. We will be getting our link in the next few days. As for those with the 30 day message you'll see your link with in 30 days but no definite date as to when. Kewlness!!!

Post the transcript. I am curious as to which rep you talked to. I've tried four times and got Linda each time :mad: She knows less than I do about beta. BTW, I also got that 30 day email, so how long will it really be untill we get our links? I'm guessing VERY soon, they just said 30 in case there was a problem in the ordering I'm guessing.

MS said that the link will be sent within the 30 days and not on the 30th day. Also, im guessing we get it Sunday September 8th.
