I think I'm screwed!

I didn't start the main quest until I was about level 38 or so. Now, I'm level 48 and Caisus sent me to Ilunibi to kill the priest inside. The problem is, I already cleared that cave out about 35 levels ago while I was waiting for Goldbrand. I can't complete this mission because I've already killed the guy, and Caisus doesn't recognize it. I've gone back to Ilunibi, gone through the entire cavern again, went back to Caisus, but he still acts as though I haven't completed my mission. Has this or anything similar happened to anyone else?

no. all u gotta do is go to the place. keep looking until u see dagoth gares. he wasnt there before. but now he is, after u talk to cauis about the quest. so just keep looking. hes in a red room.

I've already killed him. In fact, I trapped his soul in a gem. I've been back to that red room and throughout the entire place again, but Caisus still tells me I have to kill him.

thats weird. so do you have corpus?? and did he say some crap b4 he died? he shouldnt of been there until u talk to caius. well u can load a old save or take the backpath.

No, I did not contract Corpus. Unfortunately, I don't have any saves prior to killing him. What is the back path?

ok. well u skip staight to the endgame. the first step is killing vivic. yes hes a god and yes he is very hard. and when u kill him get his unique dwemer artifact. and soultrap him, its worth a lot.

Whatch out for vivec's fire spell, it can do hell of a lot af damage, just avoid them

and make sure u bring restor fatigue potions. vivics punches take a lot of fatigue away.

What I've found out is that the Dagoths in the 6th house shrines don't appear until you'r esent there by Cosades. I just realized this the other day. I doubt you killed him, are you sure?

I doubt you killed him, are you sure? exactly what i said. i ended up going thru illnubi 2 times and everytome i went in the place where dagoth ganis is hes not there until i talked ot cosades about the quest and then talkd to the lady in buckmouth legion fort.
