One other thing the MS rep told me yesterday was that I could use Interent Connection Sharing. He said as long as you have 2000, ME or XP, and not 98 it would work. I'm not familiar with this. Can anybody here shed some light on it. I'm running 2000 Pro. I have one ethernet card in my PC now. He said I'd need a second one installed for it to work, an NIC card I think. He gave me all the hardware info, but that's it.

It worked. I couldn't figure out why they said I needed two NIC cards. I finally figured they meant if you use an ethernet modem, THEN you will need two cards. I set it up, used a website I found on goolge for some step by step instructions, and I got right on to LIVE and set up my account. Finally, 27 hours later. Luckily my name was still available....LOL.......Big Kahuna.

I am running my xbox to my ethernet card in my PC. I go to properties under "My Network Places" and set up a few things, and I'm now bypassing the PC's software right into my modem. Sweet. I wish I had tried that yesterday. Thanks for all the support and tips guys!
