i've heard every email has come on a wednesday so far, so i picked wednesday pm, since i'm on the east coast.

i better get an email. MS better not have f'd this up and scrapped this and given it back to the "survey takers".

I don't understand why you guys that took the surveys think that you are the "rightful heirs" to the beta testing. MS said that it used the surveys "..among other means.." to determine the most qualified apoplicants. They based their decision on several criterion that we don't even know about. If anything I think the surveys were sent to those who were questionable to determine if those applicants were eligible. Think about it, if you met all the criteria from the beginning would there have been any need for a survey. Alot of you guys simply rode the hype that existed on the boards saying that the surveys mean definate acceptance and that wasn't the case, in fact, almost the exact opposite was true. I just wish everyone would lose this whole victimology mindset, you took a survey, there were no guarantees. It's not like you slaved for hours over a tedious essay under the premise that in turn MS was going to choose you for beta.

MS chose most of the beta testers they wanted before the surveys. Those of you that got surveys were to help them determine the ones that made the final cut. So sorry to say but a lot that got surveys won't get into the beta. I don't understand why everyone thinks if you got the 2 surveys you should be the first to go live. Anyway, just cgheck your email veryday until Novemeber, if ya get in great, if not then who cares. You'll be live in November anyhow.

Maverick is correct. I for one didn't get picked but I agree with him. I too bought into the hype of the 2nd survey = your guranteed in. So when it came the day of the first 5000, and I didn't get picked, you bet I was ****ed. But I didn't make topics on forums *****ing about it cause 1st it would make me look bad and 2nd noone cares. So after I got the Xbox Live Update e-mail for the before Spet. 20th selection, I calmed down and knew there was still a chance. Actually I'm kinda glad cause my dad WAS getting broadband but is delaying getting it to a later date so if I wanted to play I'd have to do it at someone's house (but plenty of my friends got Xboxes as well as cable and I was braggin I'd be picked and they all wanted me to come over and test it out so I'd be able to test 2-10 hours a week at their houses). And besides, there really isn't much to play. Everyone said Fever is the same so I don't wanna play that and RC cars doesn't sound to appealing. Though I would test those games for a couple hours everyday, I'd rather be playing the game we don't have to BETA test for and that's NFL2k3. Signing off...

I myself am sick of the hype and lost hope in getting into this beta. I got the 2 surveys and thats all, I did get that Sept 20 email. But IMO it doesn't mean jack about getting in.

I was just ****ed that MS turned the selection process into a total crapshoot rather than actually determaining the best users via the surveys like they implied they would.

lol i pretty much have no hope. I sent in the registration last tuesday, didnt' get any surveys, didn't get sept 20th e-mail, and pretty much have no chance of getting in. Anyways, i voted for wednesday PM, post if you get a email.

EDIT: Oh ya btw, if i don't get in the beta, my parrents will probally make me wait till christmas untill i get it, kinda sucks but atleast i wont' have to pay...

Yea I also got the september 20th email which really means... "Thanks for trying out but we really don't need you... Now just to continue our marketing ploy we're going to make you think that you still have a chance at getting in... so... Good Luck in getting in the beta test!"

Im in the same boat with the rest of u 30 day people. They should have just given us a date so that i wouldnt have to slit my wrists. No jk, but i am getting very very impatient.

Everyone keeps saying the emails have been coming on wednesdays....well my beta selection email came on a wednesday, and the final survey thing came on a monday. This is too little to make a pattern but i think it will come on a friday...not saying this friday just a friday.

I did get an email from xbox.com this morning. Unfortunately, it was only about the new football games out and some other advertising. Got a twinge of excitement for about 2 seconds.

Oh well. I've given up hope. I'll just wait until November
