Okay all I have a 2500 limit with my bestbuy card. I need to find a good TV all around. I dont need a MEGA super size TV I would rather get a TV and sound system. If any of you have a good setup that I could order from bestbuy tell me about it =)

Right now im looking at the Wega 36' HDTV Flatscreen. It looks really nice. Cant wait to see your replys thanks!(yes for xbox and movies)

If you do go for a Wega be sure to get an extended warranty.

The larger models have a really nasty color saturation problem on the outer edges of the tube, especially in the corners that may or may not grow over time.

And Sony is a pain to deal with directly for that type of large return.
Your better off having an agreement with the store that you can just trade the TV in directly should something occur.

If you're looking to shop around a little Toshiba makes the best HDTV's out there right now.

Phillips, Samsung are in the running in both terms of quality and price.

Look at the Panasonic Tau, which are the best flatscreen and HD TV's you can get for the price.

Thanks for the advice keep it coming. I always though WEGA was the best but im guessing thats for a NON-HDTV. Sony is the most expensive and I would hate to pay for it if I can get a better unit and better price.

Ill look and your setups. Is there any good Home sound systems i should look at as well? I want my Xbox and GC games to scare me or blow me away. =)

Yes im getting a GC with this card lol. SUNSHINE!!!!

The Wegas were king of the hill when they were released a few years back.
But Sony never followed up with any real improvements to the line after that.
And the prices have always been too high. (But that is nothing new for Sony gear...)

Others like Phillips, Samsung, Toshiba ,Panasonic and JVC really rose to the challenge and put some impressive gear out there.
All are worth checking out.

That one looks great. Nice price and has all the features I need. Now I have afew questions for ya guys.

Do I need one of those 600 dollar top boxs? I dont care about normal TV being in DVD it seems to expensive. Will xbox games go into HDTV reso if there made to without the topbox?

Is a Sound system worth getting?

The 32" Samsung HDTV is a great choice, and your Best Buy card will thank you for the lower price.

Also you don't need the set top box. Compatible XBOX games will be in HDTV without the box.
