For those of you may have missed this little blurb in OXM #11, or don't subscribe...

"SPICING UP XBOX LIVE.

Microsoft chairman Bill Gates is pushing to get broadband access prices down to $20 or $25 a month as quickly as possible. To do this, the Big M may go as far as essentially subsidizing broadband access for consumers. Some analysts estimate the company could spend up to $3 billion on broadband projects in the nest two years."

Hows that for commitment.;)

That would be great. I hope the prices do lower. I pay 30 bucks for it now and I could stand to save a little money.

Yeah, I commented on this last week....not only will it kick ass for XBL users, but this shall add onto his takeover of our lives, having his Windows being on more and more computers, running on his broadband lines...yeah, he's God. ;)

I currently pay 29.95 for Cable and 14.95 for DSL. I find broadband really affordable in Montreal.

I know what you mean rudedogX. That's why I just can't wait for Bill gates to drop the price. Than I could put the money I save towards a new game.:)

I think MS should work on getting broadband to every part of the nation rather than lowering the price for those who already have it. I for one would pay up to $80 a month for BB, but the sad thing is, BB isn't availible in this friggin small town.

WIRE UP THE NATION!!!!!!!!!!!

You sure? Have you tried a satellite TV provider like Dish or Direct TV? They don't care where you live? You don't have Time Warner Cable there either? I thought they had monopolized cable everywhere.....?
