? about my setup

I have a ? about my internet setup and if it will work with live or nto. on so we have the cable modem in one of our rooms and then connected to the router. and my room is connected to the router room with and i have my xbox and comp in my room and i before had an ethernet cable running from the router to my room( i have a bathroom connecting the rooms) and i had a hub in my room before so i could connect the xbox also but recently my hub broke and i heard from people that a hub wouldn't work with xbox live so i was wondering if i shoudl buy a cheap router for my room or if a hub would work with xbox live with my setup.

get a switch, i have one. its better than a hub, since it gives you 100% bandwidth to each port, heres a link to the one i have:
