I love the MYST series, and so does my wife. I bought the game yesterday and love it!!! I was waiting for this game for a long time. It's one of a few games my wife and I play all night. I don't get why it's 40.00 on Xbox and 19.99 on PS2. Anyways, I love the game:cool:

I didn't realize it was out yet. Although I never played the first two installments, I am interested in this one. Any thoughts on the game itself?

From what I've heard it is the exact same game. Anyway, this type of game just doesn't seem suited for console play for me.

I still want to play it, but I think if I do buy it it will be for PC. BTW, i prefer console, but I know I can get it cheaper/free for PC, without having to worry about my low-end specs.

I got one word to say about MYST: ZzzzzzzZzzZzzzzZzzzzz

Not really a game that should be on a console because of the fact that it has limited gameplay. Titles of this nature should simply remain PC based and try to generate sales as best they can on that instead of taking a further loss (profit) by releasing the game to video game consoles.

Actually, I also liked the series. I like the fact that it's all puzzle based. It's a good game when you just want to chill out. I have it for pc. I don't think it will sell good on the consoles. And someone made a point. Why pay $40.00 for it on the box when it's like 20 on the PC, unless you download it. Shame, shame:eek:

And why is it 40 on the box and 20 on PS2? good question, considering Xbox could easily be a straight port. The PS2 has much different architecture than the PC and hence, you would think it would cost more

How is the PC/MAC version? I'm thinking about picking up a copy. It's only $16.99 at Costco...

Umm, no, He isn't. I bought it and like the game. As far as pc vs console versions go: at least you dont have to go to the ubisoft website to download a patch to fix a bug the developer should have caught BEFORE shipping it. Peace.

patches are okay by me. they take no time to download, and the problems solved. hope xbox lets you download patches for games with glitches too. that's why i bought that console :)

Actually, I went ahead and paid extra for the xbox version of Myst. I haven't played it, though. I didn't want anyone to be the only one who bought Myst Exile for xbox. Besides, I bought too many pc games that aren't on xbox, yet :p

Seeing as how the Myst series has sold more games than any series (other than the sims), I'm sure you are not the only one who bought it.

Umm..... Myst is one of the best selling series of games out there.... i dont think its having trouble selling....lol

"Titles of this nature"? what is that supposed to mean? "Limited gameplay"? compared to what? maybe you should know a little about a game before you comment on it.

lol, i dont think its taking much "loss" by releasing a great game like this to a new audience....
