Well, well. I ordered my beta kit last week. I end up calling ups today because you know, it was suppose to be 3 day shipping and we are on the 4th day.
Anyway, I learn that my package was shipping "STANDARD" instead of the "EXPRESS UPS Canadian" option I was forced to choose when I ordered. Which explain why the package is late. Waht I learn after made me really mad.
First, UPS confirmed me that it cost Microsoft 8.51$ US to ship my package. They charged me 20$US. First big desapointement. I pay for Express, I get Standard and Ms is making 11.50$Us on my back.
Than, came the big let down. I learn that I'll have to pay customs fee for the package. Now that wasn't really suprising. What was the suprising though was the Amount for that custom fee. Yep, if we want to get our beta kit, get ready to forka Wooping 36.21$ CDN! Yeah you read it right!
That's what I call a HUGE custom fee. I ordered from the US before, with things about the same price as the xbox live kit and more, and never paid THAT MUCH in customs fee.
So basically, The Entire Beta kit is now getting at a Facinating 150$ CDN and I get it later than I paid for.
I called the Xbox support ofr the shipping thing (pay express, got standard). I hope to get a refund there to absorb part of that large custom fee. Anyway, The entire beta thing just started to left a bidder taste and I don't even have it in my hands right now...
