How do you get this game to play in 16:9 format?

I have a Mitsubishi HDTV 16:9. I just set the general XBOX settings to 16:9 High Def and it looks good. I am still unable to see the whole field without zooming out, but the players look normal vs. fat on the 2k2 version.

Yeah, I have it in Wide Screen mode on the dashboard. Guess it's my set, see I have a 55" Phillips which has APAC (Automatic Phosphor Aging Compensation), basically a big word for a screen saver. The screen will shift in 1-2 cm increments to avoid image retention, so sometimes I'll have a black bar on the right, then by the 2nd quarter it's gone. Guess it's my set being smart.

That sounds like a good feature to have. I mainly play on a 24" Sony Vega to avoid screen burn on my set. I don't know if that could happen, but I would rather be save than sorry. Its a lot easier to see on a big screen though. Are you getting NBA 2k3 as well?

I might, but have never been a fan of video game basketball. No one has seemed to find a solution for the whole under-the-rim and in-the-paint confusion. I always find myself playing an outside game because going in on Defense or Offense is really a guessing game. For me that is.
