How dose xbox live hook, up?

Somthings had been, killing me for the past year, Im thinking when i buy the starter kit, the kit includes everthing you need to get online right away. But i've been hearing things about you will need to buy exstra equipment to connected your cable moden to your xbox, and so on. I need to know if this is true, and if true how do you hook everything up. Thanks for reading my post, and for trying to help.

btw..unless your planning on running a pc or 2 (or something of that nature) at the same time....chances are..u don't need anything extra. I didn't.

You will need to buy the router and network cables...if you want to run your PC and Xbox at the same time. If not, you can just plug your modem into the Xbox whenever you want to go Live, then plug back into your PC when you want internet.
