Question about returning a game to a store..

I was wondering if I had a wrapped game, without a receipt could I take it to EB and return it for another game?


I have never tried returning a game before.. so I'm pretty much clueless...

well I searched the forums (guess I should have done that first lol) and found someone said this:

"Of course they will let you do it. I have done it many times. Below are the stores I have exchanged game new but without receipt (all in the last 3 months)

EB
Gamestop
Target (Pretty sure walmart will too)"


So EB will let me do that eh??

EB will ask for a receipt and so will Walmart....I have no idea what you can do without a receipt....

Without a receipt you could probably do an exchange only. But it depends on the store and I don't really know for sure.

well an exchange for ANOTHER game is all I want to do :)

Well this is the rule of thumb for basically everywhere I go:

Wrapped + Receipt = Refund.

Wrapped + No receipt = Exchange only.

Opened = Straight exchange for same title.

****es me off. I wanted to return F1 2001, which I opened and played once, but nowhere will take it. :(
