AGP's Halo Tournament

Monday, October 7, 18:06 | Talon |
Earlier today (through Bungie) it was reported that the Associates of Gaming Professionals (AGP), a newly formed gaming league that focuses on the promotion of gaming in North America, will be holding the ‘AGP Winter 2002 Halo tournament’ on November 23rd – 24th. The event, which will be filmed in a sports fashion and presented to several TV networks, support up to 64 teams playing on a series of 32’ TVs. While registration for the tournament is $25 USD (or $50 for those registering after the November 13th deadline) the tournament offers the winners a cash prize of $5,000 USD, making this one of the largest cash prizes for a Halo tournament ever.
The tournament will be held in Nashville and, while the specific hotel in which the tournament is set to take place hasn’t been disclosed at this time, anyone interested in learning more about the tournament should head on over to the official AGP site.

if this takes off ovewr the US I'm all over it. Maybe not to drive to Nashville but... 5000$ thats alot of $$ to play and have fun at Halo. This adds to Halo's glory.
