Hey. I'm "On the Brink," the level (near the end I think) where you have to escort the pain-in-the-ass scientist to the Russian missile. I have to get to a sewer entrance. My problem is the final tank. Conners used up all his anti-tank missiles on the previous three (?) tanks, and he's out.

How do I get past that tank?

Is there an extra anti-tank weapon laying around somewhere? Do I use smoke grenades?

There are some back in the beginning, on the roof tops. The first tank on that road facing you, kind of an ambush, well in that area on the roof top. Also, that final tank, there are some right next to it. Don't try grenades, it'll **** it off. Smoke may work if you can create a barrier then haul ass pass it, but be warned, there are more infantry down the road. Connors has 3 LAWS in the beginning, but there are a few RPGS to be had as I said earlier. Little hint, once you get to the sewer, this part ****ed me off, you can't enter it as one would think. I wasted many a rocket trying to blow a hole in it thinking I could. Instead, just have everyone fall in on you as you stand on the blue curb going around it, level finished. Use your ammo wisely because you'll be dropped right into a firefight the next level.

Thanks, netranger6. I'll have to search the rooftops more carefully. Thanks for the warning about the end of the level, too.

the tank is facing you as you come down the road, stick to the buildings and work your way around the tank through an alley, then shoot it in the ass, whammo, dead tank.

Oh, good luck on the end of this one, defending the ICBm. I'm freaking pulling my hair out here, I've counted 10 re-starts from last save so far. The freaking Iraqi's just keep coming and wasting my men. Tried leaving one back just so he can be a "medic", but this doesn't work because I get pinned and we all die. Tried splitting them up, one covering the left, one the right, and one around the corner to the right to ambush those *******s. This almost worked but a gate opened up behind me and I got whacked pretty quick like. I think I have it timed though, seems that the hordes coming from the right are only so many, when they stop, or what seems like they stop, I'm going to do an about face and ambush the ones coming from the gate. This is just pizzssing me off to no end. Little hint, don't hide behind the trailer/truck, they blow it to bits and you as well. I need a minigun or something. some air support, or mortar support, any indirect fire would help.

Use smoke grenades thrown at tank, then use explosive expert to plant c4 beside tank. BOOM!:)

sorry, but on this level you don't have the demolishments expert, nor any C4....have you played it yet? Your 4th member is the stupid scientist that de-fuses the ICBM.

I've played this game twice already in co-op mode and cant remember having a problem at this part, I played bradley & conners. I do know the level you are on about but cant remember what we did. Sorry about the mis-information.

Okay I made it. RPG found, tank killed, sewer entered, then wave after wave of troops mowed down. Missile defused, plutonium grabbed, dorky scientist safely escorted, and escape made. Love this game.

Now, time to kill Saddam.

How the heck did you finish defending the ICBM? I keep getting wasted no matter what I try and the finish is just across the street? This game is pretty good, I must admit.

I played this first on my ps2 & because there's limited space on the mem. card I had to keep overwriting the damn thing.
I'm now playing it on my xbox single player and havn't reached on the brink yet. The thing I do remember about the icbm level is when you get to the last bit you are in a big shed and as soon as he does his stuff all hell breaks loose.you must cover the doors.
I found that when you get your men to lie down this presents a smaller target for the enemies. I know this is not much help but let me know how you get on.:)

If you're like me and my friend, just run up to the tank without any smoke, while there's people firing at you,, plant the c4, run away and blow it up without getting hurt real bad.

If you have a tank or something that you have to blow up, try shooting it first. If a red crosshair appears, then you can blow it up by shooting it. Only the big tanks (MBT's i think) need c4, or a well placed rocket.

Because I'm good. Damn good.

No, actually, it's because I'm playing on the "easy" setting.

Looks like about 14. I can't be sure because I'm not completely finished (but pretty sure I have two levels to go), and I think I erased the first two levels from memory, but I'd guess 14. I could be off by a level or two, though.

Ok, what's up with the level after the ICBM one, the fortress? I am trying to hede the advice of finding a different way in, thus not alerting the enemy, but crap, where is it. I snipe the two on the bridge to my front, but then can't find anything to enter through. Tried C4'in the sewer to the right, but nada. So I continue forward only to be greeted by 2 BMP's, 1 tank, a minefield, and a crap load of infantry. Finally got through them, thanks to my demo guy doing a suicide run to the tank and planting a mine. Revived him immediately. Continued forward down the creek, but crap, there are platoons of infantry everywhere. Seems I am doing something wrong here. Is there somewhere in the beginning, before the bridge and archways to enter the fortress? By the way, very cool effect going from dusk to daylight. Figured that out because I began with my night vision on and realized it was being washed out by light. This game rocks.

PS: I finished the ICBM with one soldier left. What a *****.

Have you used the map? The vent should be right on there under Objectives. Your going to alert everyone regardless. Get rid of the tanks, then get the rest done.

Ok, finished the game. Kind of disappointed now, it was wayy to short, and the General was way to easy to kill, not too mention this was too short.

Peter Moleneaux -- that's not the right spelling but screw it -- commented that "everyone is making games that take 10 to 15 hours." This, I guess, is an example of what's becoming the norm. It's all right with me, frankly. I played it through on easy, and I'll be replaying it through on medium. After that, I sell it used for about 25 bucks. It works out to about a buck an hour, which is fine with me.

Thanks for your help. Hope I can be in squad with you on Live sometime (next year, can't afford it this time around).

It could've used some humor. There was absolutely no humor in it at all. Come on, it's a game. Don't make me sweat, sweat, sweat, and sweat some more. Give me some funny sheet.

I liked the game, I'd give it an 8.3 after finishing it. I'm new to squad-based shooters, so I have no point of comparison. They will need to fix the way your gunsights would just "find" a distant enemy (e.g., on a roof) before you did. That shouldn't happen in a shooter. Help me a little with the aim, fine, but don't tell me where the bad guys are before I've seen them. Overall, though, I enjoyed myself -- partially, I guess, because this was my first squad-based shooter, and it was a novel experience. Maybe if you've played Rainbow Six, Rouge Spear, and Ghost Recon, this game is not so fun. For me, though, it was a good purchase.

Played through it on Med. Respectable game. Life like...very realistic...easy control...9 out of 10 here...

Yeah earlier posts use those maps....

I'm still playing the game I'm in SCUD alley right now, but I love this game. I've always wanted a military shooter. Especially a realistic squad action shooter with a hint of strategy. It feels like they made the game for me. Right now it's every thing I wanted in a game. Plus I can kill Iraqis listening to my own tunes. The only problems I have is that it seems like the computer has a hard time changing characters in the heat of battle. Meaning if I am shooting with one guy and I switch over while I am still shooting to a different guy, that new guy starts shooting on full auto and keeps spraying unit I hit the right trigger to make him stop. It's a weird little bug that pops up sometimes. There are other little control issues that come about between switching characters, but other than that, I am really digging this game.
