It's starting to sound like AOL Broadband cant be used with XBOXLIVE. One person said it could, while 10 people have said absolutely not. I'm ready to dump AOL Broadband.
Which broadband/DSL service should I choose to optimize my internet speed and my XBOXLIVE experience?

If you get AOL I will shoot you.
My recommendation would be to get it from like a small company in your area. That's what I did and I have had no complaints.
It all depends on where you live. If you already have AOL (from your other thread) MS did say they're working on making it compatible.
I do recommend going with something else though. I haven't entirely hated AOL, but you can definitely do better.
Some drawbacks to AOL are:
no one touch access
no always on
have to sign in to aol, and then use a different browser because their interface blows
you will receive a heaping pile of chit from anyone who knows you have AOL.

Drop AOl man,
and like stated already it depends on where you live.
If you have the choice go with cable and as for a cable provider, according to some of the speed test web sites (www.dslreports.com) optimum online is one of the best in the country. I currently have comcast and have no complaints.

Does anyone recall when Network Associates (McAfee) declared AOL as a virus, cuz back when it was ver. 3.0, it actually changed your master boot record?
Stay as far away from Aohell as possible, it's not worth it, nor is the price. See if your local cable company is offering cable internet, or call your phone provider and see. But don't mess with AOL, it just sucks.

(I have a local dsl company for an isp) like this guy that tried to switch from being billed on his credit card to being billed on his debit card. They billed him on BOTH cards for almost a year and he finally had to cancell those cards! Also, I heard that they totally ruined netscape, and now aol uses Internet Explorer, way to go AOHELL !!
