Hi All

I can't wait for XL launch, all I have to do is convince my dad to get broadband.

Tell me, what do you think is a good connection speed (for XBox Live of course)

Aaaaah, so I guess my Dad's 64.4 ADSL Cable won't be accepatable then huh.

Good news though, I've convinced my Dad to get us 512k in our new house (which means XBox Live in my room)

But hell, where will XBox Live be in a Year and half's time. Itll be kinda old

64.4 adsl? i hope you not paying more than 15 bucks a month for that, otherwise, your dad is getting ripped big time.

Whats your U/L D/L rate? Got to test that first.. PM Casper he knows the link to the site to check your rates.. mine is around 350 ul and 1700 dl works great..

The fastest an adsl home user can get in the uk is 512kbps download and 256kbps upload!!
And that costs £30 a month.
That better be fast enough, or i'm screwed!!! :(

It should be close...we need to find a actual ratings scale or soemthing to show rec. rates..

I know that Microsoft are having talks with some isp's over here, and they've already done a few deals. So hopefully it will still be a lag free service, even though are fastest internet access is crap compared to what you lot can get for about half the price! :mad:

But as long as it works, then i'll be happy. :D

ok, my speed is messed up, but it's my Xbox's fault im convinced. when i test me speed on my pc, i get about 549 ul, 1297 ul, which is decent and does the trick. on my xbox however, it tests about 530 ul which is fine, but my dl is like 120!! dl is supposed to be much higher than ul, ut im convinced its my box, because i tested my speed within 5 minutes of going from pc to xbox. my dl wont chnage over 1000kb/sec in 5 minutes constantly, any suggestions??

also, does anybody know how to run connectivity test?? if so, guide me through EVERY STEP such as open disc, put in moto gp disc etc etc.

Never was good at converting money! :p

Still wish we would hurry up and get rid of BT and let the cable companies finish the job.
Then perhaps in a couple of years we could have the same speeds as you guys. :)

my download speed is 1440 kbps is this good for xbox live

I think that would be suff. I have appox. 350 u/l and works great when a friend a beta tester plays on my connection.. Maybe you should check XBox homepage for other info. on it or email their staff.
