I have a question about signing on to XBL. I know that you can save your information on a memory card and take it over to your buddy's house and play online over there. Is that true if he doesnt have XBL and a gamertag?? What would happen if you went over to his house and signed on and started playing..... and then someone tried logging on at your Xbox console at home?? Would you not be able to sign on, or would the other name get kicked off. My buddy asked about this today and I couldnt answer him. Can you help me please???

And here is another question. I just went and reserved XBL and UC yesterday. I know that you are supposed to pay $50 for the first 12 months. SO does that means since the kit is $50 I already have12 months?? Or do I specify that when I enter my credit card information the first day Isign on and enter my information????

If these questions are answered and addressed in another thread could you please give me the link or something??? thanks in advance

If someone tries to log-on as you, using your gamertag and info, then yeah, the person trying to log on after the other person would not be able to get on. They have said that it will be like AIM. You can't be signed on at two different places. I suppose that's why you have a password for you gamertag too if you want one.

Then the 50 you pay for XBoxLive covers both the kit and a full year of subscription. At the end of the subscription (year), then you will be charged again, though, I'm not sure how much.

Which only makes sense. Otherwise people would just have their buddies stop by with a memory card and then they would get to play XBL for free.

I spoke with XBox Tech's about this and actually got a logical answer. It's just like any messaging service (AIM, Yahoo, MSN) that you can't be logged on in 2 places at once. If one is already on, that's the dominant one, and the other won't be able to, unless you have the other one logoff

I thank your for your answer but its not totally true. If I am signed onto AIM and someone else signs onto my name with my password, it will kick me off and tell me my session was ended because I signed on at a different location. So is it whoever signs on first will be able to stay online???

Like lets say I take my memory card over to my buddy's house and sign on there. Let them continute playing online and then I go home and try to sign on. I could have a password and sign on at my house. WOuld I kick my buddy off or would I not be able to sign on???? I was just wondering thats all.

How many beta testers are there now?? Does Microsoft keep stats like how many people are online at a certain time?? THousands.... tens of thousands????
