View Full Version : Who's getting MotoGP for Live?

I don't personally own the game, neither have I played it. But I keep hearing so many good things about it, it makes me wanna buy it even more. Plus, its Live, thats just plain cool. So who's getting it for Xbox Live?

Hopefully i'll be able to find the full version around here somewhere. All the stores are sold out of it, and all the video rental places constantly have it rented out :(

I heard that the demo of the game is actually the full version . All u need is a saved game file of the retail version and everything needs to be unlocked.

U have look for this information, just click on news icon at the top of the site and u have to scroll all the way down where they have information on Moto GP.

Actually the demo has all the tracks and things of the full version, but without actually unlocking them in the full version you can only play a small amount of the tracks.

Also if you have the full version, part of the game allows you to create a custom bike. You can then take your custom bike and race it on Live.

You'll know a custom bike when you see it in the game too, they are generally a solid color, no decals, and will blow you away easily. :D

I have the full game :)

And if you guys are looking for it, I got mine used from amazon.com for only $35 a few weeks ago, maybe you can still find used ones there.

Am I getting it? LOL, I already have it. I am a beta tester. Our demos are full versions... Well, sorta... It reads off the harddrive of your full retail copy and than determines it. GP online is the best only game EVER!! (SO FAR)

It's going to be the same MotoGP as before. What happens is when you buy the XBOX LIVE Starter Kit, it comes with the MotoGP demo which never expires. This is your ticket to get online with MotoGP. It strictly looks for saved game data on your harddrive and goes from there. You never use the original copy to go online. Always the online demo disc. But be warned, you better have the full version or you will be a ghost which doesn't rank @ all when it comes to points in competition but you can beat your times. Make sure to have the original copies data on your harddrive so you don't fall into the mess like that!:)

No problem. There have been rumors of a NEW version which might come true. Although it might come true, don't worry. This version only does one thing if it is released. Puts online play and the original game onto one disc. Nothing else. Just one cd instead or 2. One with online+full game and the other two where ones online and one isnt. Dont worry man. its gonna be good!

I don't have it yet, but I have been playing it almost exclusively on Live since I got the kit on Tuesday. I am usually not a big fan of racers, but something about this game and the ability to play it live has me hooked. I was thinking about buying it, but I may just rent it and try to get some more stuff open so I can get a decent save game on my HD. So far, my only complaint has been some of the idiots that drive the course backwards trying to take people out.

MotoGP was dicontinued in production and shipping fromt he manufacturer. So does this mean they could be getting the new LIVE enabled game ready to come out? KEWL! Anyhow, try and find a used copy somewhere as once you create a custom bike and unlock the tracks you'll be using your online demo more than the full retail version anyhow. Or even rent it and unlock everything. Its an awesome game online! Speaking of which , I was ranked 58th overall in the world, I better check and see where I have fallen to in the past 4 days I havent been on...LOL!

i was poking around in EB the other day hoping to find it reduced or a used copy. I could only find 1 copy and it was new and still going for $49.99.

I didn't buy it. I WANT IT THOUGH!!

I keep hearing though, that all you really need to do is rent the game, pop in the codes to unlock everything, save it to your harddrive and then when you run your demo Live disk, you have the whole game ready to play Live.
