Need advice on best wheel

Hi folks, I'm brand new to the X-Box and bought it for racing games only. Does anyone have any experience with wheels? I bought the Thrustmaster Pro Victory wheel and found that the cars are hard to control. Is the Mad Catz wheel better? Thanx!:)
